Positives

1. Good following from you lot - big plus for Super League
2. Davies and Mullally excellent
3. Hulmes defence on your left side in the second half

Negatives

1. Scott Moore - complete liability - will cost you games because in Super League penalties usually turn into points

You've alot of work to do, but at least have 3 years to build

All the best for 2012 (except on the three days you play us)

Never went the game but I am not at all surprised that mullally is on your positive list.I think he will be a star player for widnes this coming year.

If I remember correctly, Mullally played well for your lot last Boxing Day before his stint in Australia. He looks a real handful in attack and could make a great impact player for you this year.

Positives: your kit looked nice.
Negatives: you couldn't keep hold of the ball.
Looked clueless at times.
The negative needs sorting quick as established teams will put 20 + on you before you know it. Then it will be damage limitation time for the rest of the game.

Your lads were putting a lot of effort in, impressive for a friendly. Looked miles off Super League though, you would've given away a lot more penalties than you did in a normal game.

Positives: a good bench mark for Dennis to take away and work with

Negatives: How fast Wire Fans were on here to take the mick, and somehow beleive they've written the Rugby League guide to success. but, some things will never change.

I hope, for you guys, than Dennis takes what he needs to out of the game, and works with the team over the next few weeks... let's have some Widnes Wins this season (just not against Wigan).

Not a surprise that the Wire are on here taking the .They have all played together as a fulltime team for years and ours a new team.We will get better and with squad 18 and 19 still to be signed we will improve.I am unsure of Betts as a coach but we did have a few missing today like wire.Takes time to gel and I think top 10 is a reality.

Don't get ambitions mixed up with capabilities. You looked like a new team today and need to gel quick or before you know it your 4 or 5 games in without a Win. Fickle fans will vote with the feet and not turn up.

I didn't see the game today but as a Leeds fan I don't think top 10 is too unrealistic.
I don't think you will finish in the play-offs but I think the bottom will be incredibly tight, with a bit of a gap from the rest. It will be very possible to finish above Wakefield, Salford, etc.

Disagree as it like a reserves with a few first teamers just like Wire.We have two new signings still to come and a few influential players missing. It is our first run out and I predicted 10th or 11th this season.

Agree and I think the prediction of bottom will fire us up. icon_thumb.gif

I think the first line of any 'Rugby League 'success guide' should read:

1. Sign Tony Smith.....all the rest seems to fall into place....we're in a good place and enjoying the ride.

You have a good backer....as do Wire....you need time....and thick skin in the short term!

How did Willie Isa go? He had a tough year with injuries but was solid for us last year and I thought he had more potential ready to show with a steady run, gutted to see him leave.

I think personally it was a good game and for 10 or so minutes you had us taken aback with your second stringers against ours. you have along way to come i super league but what else is anyone going to expect?? however there is a lot of potential i think once you your team is settled in
