| GOOD LUCK WITH THIS GUY......
BANNED FOR GOOD REASON......
COMPETE SHAMBLES OF A CEO, MADE FC NEARLY GO TO THE WALL WITH LIES AND CHEATING....
HIS EFFORTS WITH HETHERINGTON WERE LITTLE SHORT OF EMBARRASING, TAKING US FROM A GF AND A CC WIN IN 05/06 TO 3RD BOTTOM IN THE SPACE OF 4 YEARS... INCOMPETANT AS IT GETS...LIAR, FILLS PEOPLE WITH BULLSHIZZER TO JUSTIFY HIS ACTIONS,
I WILL GUARNTEE THAT YOR NEW CEO WILL BE STATING THAT THE TEAM WILL BE CHALLENGING FOR HONURS "NEXT YEAR"..... WILL ALSO GIVE THE COACH NO SAY IN SIGNINGS EITHER, MARQUEE SIGINGS WILL BE BOUGHT IN TO SHIFT SHIRTS AND SEASON TICKETS, NOT TO IMPROVE THE SQUAD
HEARD ALL HIS BOLLOX BEFORE, AND I FEAR FOR YOU GUYS,,,,,,,
NEARLY GOT SPARK'OED AFEW TIMES WHILST THINKING HE WAS THE BIG-SHOT IN HULL....
ILL BE AMAZED IF TICKLE WANTS TO PLAY UNDER THIS JOKER.....

| I think this answers your question
O'Connor saidall "Athlete Support Personnel" functions, including but not limited to, the provision of;
g. Athlete handling; inc recruitment and salary packaging and negotiations.
The including but not limited to suggest that they have checked the role with UK Anti-Doping already?

| Ignore the idiot.
At Hull he was Kath Hetherington's little yes man, he had no say on recruitment or who the coach of our club was, he wasn't the cause of our demise from the 2006 GF.
He increased season ticket sales year on year and the marketing and communications from the club improved vastly during his tenure. He does dabble in a bit of spin, but I'm yet to find a CEO that doesn't.
He made a monumental mistake, one I'm sure you're all aware of, and you can go through the reports to form your own opinion of that whole embarrassing episode.

Sums it up for me. He does his job well, unfortunately that job includes spinning rubbish to keep fans interested etc however that is his main role so fair play to him. The attendances and merchandise sales rocketed under him. As for the doping saga, we will never really know what went on fully and I am sure Steve O'Connor will have done his homework.
Hope it all works out well for you as I have a soft spot for the Chemics.

Thanks for the reasoned view, if he is taking on the same or a similar role to his predecessor then he will not be involved in player related issues at all, just the commercial side of the Club, where his strengths in marketing and communications will be very welcome. We don't seem to have a very joined up approach at the moment so he could make a big difference.

| Hmmm mixed opinions it would seem, Steve O'connor is very successful businessman and no mug. Hopefully he'll get the best out of James and we can push on.

| An incompetent CEO. The drugs debacle is the headline failure, but don't forget when FC got to the Challenge Cup final in 2008 they probably should have been chucked out for fielding an ineligible player the first two rounds because Rule and co didn't realise Thackray had been signed three weeks after the deadline. Think that cost us £60,000 in the end.
Out of interest if he's banned from any role in "Athlete handling; inc recruitment and salary packaging and negotiations" what exactly is he going to do? Water the office plants?

To be fair alot of that came under Cull anyway as I'm sure it does now with Mcrae for you guys.
No doubt in my mind that he is coming in to work on the commercial side of things.
I'm sure SOC is aware of the season ticket and commercial increases during his time at FC.
We need more of a push on that front if we are spending more next year and ultimately looking to achieve the turnover for the full cap.

whos the idiot? you or me, seeing as rule not only allowed a drug cheat to play for fc, knowing full well that he was guilty as sin, he also lied to the u anti-doping about it all, not to forget his allowance to sign jamie thackeray and play him when his was already cup-tied for rochdale i think it was...
the list is endless, comlpete farce of a ceo in my opinion, youve only got to look at the strides forward weve made isnce ap took over to see what a proper ceo does......
with creit to rule though, off the field we was a succes in terms of selling mechandise, wereas we struggled badly on the field down to lack of investment, bad management and terrible signings..... all of which would not happen under our current regime.....
