Before Wigan played Widnes and there was still a lot of talk about the i-pitch Shaun Wane made it pretty clear he had no issues with it and said the club train on a similar pitch so I doubt he'll be blaming the pitch for the injury.

Logan Tomkins should be available as he's been playing every week in the under 20's which won't be helping his development much as he's been at that level for years. With the under 20's having a break soon for the 9's tournament I think Wigan would be very keen to get him playing in Super League if it was possible.
