Gerrard at SO doesn't cut the mustard. Thackray again had it all to do. The lack of a decent kicker was obvious. I said I was disappointed that Webster had left especially so seeing as we don't have a ready made replacement. I have been told that we won't have one until after June 13th.

Grady suffered at fullback. The curse continues!! For me Ford should still be in the squad. No idea why he has been made scapegoat.

Losing Doran was bad. Having a prop on the bench that could only last 10 minutes compounded the problem.

Allen had a mare as new captain.

The atmosphere was flat, I've seen more spark from a dribbly tap than those players today. The received a barrage from a south stander as they went off but none of them surely had any excuses.

Cullen was obviously furious but has his work cut out big time.

Well played Batley. Some lovely rugby at times and a great gameplan. They worked tirelessley.. Great performance and a nice vocal turnout.

Gerrard isnt a stand off but defensively he is one of the best in the side. For a lad of his age ( Which we forget) he will have been well up on the tackle count today.

Thought he was one of a few who put their balls on the block today.

Oddly enough too the goal line defence was much improved today.

Ultimately were in a rut and going backwards on the pitch and in the stands too.

Im not sure what the answer is or even where the main problems lie at the moment.

At the moment though it speaks volumes that Cull can spend the best part of ten days since the Leigh defeat slagging off players and performances in the press and we produce a performance like that.

Probably on par with when Rochdale beat us in our first year down in this league as the worst home performance for some time.

Do we start to say Cullen out, the players to me don't look interested, when was the last time we won a match

I do not know why I bother.

I defend this club to the hilt year on year and they just continue to disappoint. Can someone remind me what on earth the point is of investing time, energy and loyalty into something which lets you down on such a consistent basis? If a rock band you liked put out album after album of dross you'd stop buying them. How long has this so called bad patch lasted now?

I get so much stick for supporting this club yet I blindly do and I've absolutely nothing with which to defend them. They're meant to be fighting for us yet they don't show any pride or urgency.

What a bunch of crap we have to put up with.

you support a team because its what you have always known and if you follow a club for long enough you find that you have to support them ans you cant just switch off your loyalties when its a bad run.

if a fan truly supports a team they will be there all the time during good times and bad times. not just the glory fans that turn up during a good run or a big game

There was a guy sat behind me today and he said... 'I wish I didn't have this sense of obligation to come and watch this.. I'd love to just stay at home and potter about.'
And I thought at the time that he was right.. Beautiful sunny afternoon, dashed away from the family and for what?

I am NOT one of the glory fans you speak of. I have been supporting this team for 25 years or so, do NOT insinuate I am the kind of idiot who drops his team at the first sign of trouble, I haven't dropped them yet and I wont be dropping them now. I am however a despondant long term fan who has every right to have a bit of a moan considering the above and you do not get to tell me otherwise!

I've supported this team through thick and thin for a long time and at the minute they're not giving anything back, I feel so fed up with them and I'm not the only one.

no no you misunderstand, i was refering to you as one of the loyal fans. i was just making a point about the other fans who just turn up when its a good time or you are winning.

Those of you who are hackked off at the moment will soon be settling in to a life in Super League. I know it doesn't help with the current frustrations but does it not make it a bit easier knowing that you're out of here soon?

The drop out summed Widnes up with 10 minutes to go when Batley got to the ball first. No urgency, no commitment, no pride, not bothered.

Cant honestly think of anything positive to bring from that yesterday , cant even call it a mid season blip as this is now 2 games back to back where we have been , to say the least , poor . Guess its coming close to jumping of the bridge time
