I plan on forgetting how wrong the system is in relation to our club in very quick time. We've been the victims of it, we've been the benefitters, it will no longer be relevant to us once we're in super league and I don't plan on letting people humble me or our club over it. I certainly don't feel guilty, it's the way things are and I don't have to agree with the system to enjoy widnes' time in super league.

I am of the opinion that the team that finishes top should be the champions. Take last season for example, Fev were the best team in the comp all season long but they were not champions because they lost a one off game.

We can argue until were blue in the face but the fact remains the rules are here to stay for the medium to long term and theres nothing we can do about it.

Have to say your wrong there, general impression from the Wakefield end is that you should of been in from the start. You were the best team structure wise. Its the expansion teams we have the problem with, there just being carried by the RFL and there sacrificing the heartland clubs, seems that a few teams have a use by date that is about to expire in the rfl's eyes.

I didn't see what was wrong with Stevos piece. It was good speculative journalism, he's obviously no better informed as the the actual goings on at Widnes re: signings, had to fill some space in the paper, and so extrapolated past behaviours by SL sides and applied them to Widnes.

It's an opinion, nothing else.

Do you have to comply with those rules? New sides have always been given dispensation?

And the way the quota system is now it would be unfair for a new club.

i think you will find 'expansion' sides have been given dispensation. the rest of us established teams can suck RFL manstick.

Hkr got dispensation as did Hull, albeit through a merger.

The 2008 rule would put widnes at a disadvantage.

Hull got dispensation for saving the RFL face through the merger. Hull KR got it just because the RFL are hypocritical blerts.
