I agree with their stance though... It seems they were acting with the clubs wishes so good on them.

It's an honour, sir - sort of.
But not only did I not realise there was a ban in force (I don't get to read every page of every thread when in work - so apologies if I spoiled anyone's fun, it truly wasn't deliberate), I think I can honestly claim to be the first man ever to be banned for (a) speaking the truth and (b) not actually breaking a single forum rule...ever.
I just hope they've got better lawyers than me - with this wrongful suspension, my feelings are very, very hurt indeed...

Way,way way over the top moderation on the trust site.I don't think the club,having sent out 3000 odd text messages about the signings,expected the news to be kept ''secret'' for one whole hour.

Who said anything about an instruction?
I said that they were acting in accordance with the clubs wishes which is that VS members should be privileged to the extent that they receive this information before the press and other fans. Not that everyone posts the info about 2 seconds after it's received.
As for the ban... I think I agree it's a bit OTT but it only stops people from posting doesn't it? They can still view the site? An hour would have been enough.
I agree that the site is a shadow of it's former self when Chris and Gary were in charge. It is over-moderated with threads being merged and moved or locked. Yet still it can be filled with toxic guff. Nearly all of the original posters seem to have vanished having given up on the board and some real characters have been lost. |
