This is to widnes fans (not the cretins who decided to jump on the pitch because I doubt you watch R.L every week)just want to say I'm chuffed that 2 teams who played each other in a nl1 final contested for a challenge cup spot today who are "small town teams" actions of a few shouldn't tarnish the many, cas fan
Cas fan here who didn't get to the game on Sunday because of other commitments. I suppose, in a lot of respects it's none of my business, but can I just say thanks to all and everyone who's been on the Cas forum to apologise for the halfwits who ruined the end of the match. To all the proper fans, best wishes for the rest of the season.
I also went to the game as a Cas fan, and I can honestly say that the vast and I mean vast majority of Widnes fans were courteous, friendly and complimentary in defeat. Cannot see what really the Widnes club could really have done on the day about a tiny minority of village idiots.
Every club and I mean every, has this tiny minority of letdowns, some who only ever surface for games like these. If the circumstances had been different and the Widnes team had happened to be the best team on the day, we could well have been talking about a miniscule minority of idiots of ours, invading and spoiling the day. I and many other Cas fans would then be really annoyed if opposition and other fans then went and tarred us all with the same brush.
Therefore it is definitely imperative we do not bracket the vast majority of well behaved Vikings fans with these handful of imbeciles.
Respect to the decent Castleford fans and goodluck in the final. I feel some should have not been allowed into the stadium because very drunk. Some started in Whetherspoons from 8am and it is away games these idiots get us into trouble. Ban them and fine them with Community Service.
