Please can anyone give me a positive on how and why he gets in the squad let alone play ?

Maybe I am missing something that Betts sees and I dont like having a pop at players but I really cant see what he contributes to the side.

He offers energy particularly scooting and doing the hard yards in your own half and he's reasonable in defence. They are the only reasons why I can think betts picks him, we all know he's dreadful on attack.

Plus Phelps and Dean have been/are injured.

For squad terms he can't go on DR like Flynn can. So in terms of being the extra back makes more sense with aded versatility too.

Wouldn't expect him to face Bradford. Gets a very harsh rap at times IMO but still would go with Owens, Phelps, Marsh and Ah Van.

As j20 states he hopefully wont get in the 17
