Roddy Snedden, the owner of one of Widnes Vikings' main partners Electrod UK Ltd, is to become a Director of the Club.
The announcement comes just one week after the Vikings announced that Matt Beech, owner of Maltacourt, was to join the Board of Directors.
Vikings CEO James Rule, commented: "Once we announced that we were looking to build a Board of Directors, we were inundated with expressions of interest.
"Roddy stood out as a man that had the business expertise, business network and passion, to really assist us in our evolution.
"He lives and works in the area and is married to a lady who was born and bred in Widnes. Just like Steve (O'Connor), Matt (Beech) and I, he is committed to ensuring that the Widnes Vikings brand is used to drive positive change in the community of Halton.
"The fact that Roddy is willing to invest and become a member of the Board is exciting news for everybody connected with the Club. I look forward to working with him."
Roddy Snedden, added: "As a lifelong sports fan joining the board at Widnes Vikings was an easy decision to make, as the club's spirit and philosophy matches my own ambitions.
"I look forward to being part of the team that will help take the Widnes Vikings back to a position that they are more accustomed to and the fans deserve".

White flat cap.
Car totally disappeared and insurance being slow with a decision. I am now driving around is something similar to a pedal car with a sewing machine engine.
