Quote: The Chair Maker "As a Saints fan who attended the cup game, i thought that it was disgraceful how the Widnes fans had literally deserted their team and failed to show up last week.
MY view at the time was that Widnes fans must have had a wildly optimistic view of how you would perform in your first season in SL.
'"
I think you and virtually every other opposition fan visiting this board have had the same view that the fans have unrealistic expectations and we need the full three years, blah blah blah.
That is until you actually look at what we are putting up with in record defeats, regular nillings, an inability to play away, a run of fifteen games stretching to last year having conceded more than thirty points.
None of which you would put up with at your own clubs yet we apparently should because we are the new boys and it is expected. We know we will lose games but all we want is some heart and effort and not what we are currently being served.
I keep on saying it but we offer absolutely nothing to Superleague at present. We are a complete shambles at the moment on and off the pitch yet the club dont comment other than to back Betts. It does feel a little like the club hold the fans in contempt for daring to share the view that this was not what 'Daring to Dream' of Superleague was all about.
