Coyle looked as if he couldnt be bothered, which I'm disappointed about after his recent performances. I'Anson's kicking in the first half was good, second half he just disappeared. Complete waste of a player and was being carried through the second half by Mellor.

Would just like to add, Leigh looked a lot worse when RHP was off the field. They didnt create a lot and we looked far better in that spell of the game when Tomkins was on.

Must also give Danny Hulme a mention for that tackle on Nanyn. From the obvious forward pass, Nanyn makes a break, Hulme is with him, both players looking at the ref expecting a forward pass to be given, play on, Hulme catches him and Nanyn knocks on. Fantastic effort.

Roby was dreadful for both sides, Widnes got away with a hell of a load of shenanigans at the ruck.

Thought the Smogs did well to target Ridyard and Ellis and I was disappointed we didn't do similar with I'Anson, but Widnes were arguably the better side until Hill, Thornley and Taylor came back on with 20 minutes left.

Would love another look at Evans' disallowed try but I'd say the support play and passing for Ellis' second try was fit to win any game.

Huge improvement from Widnes from previous games though and hopefully you can do us a favour against Fev.

one lobby gobbler inperticular in that crowed was a disgrace i saw him throw something at simon finnegan and it hit him on his back it was when there was a drop out in the second half and tyrer n mellor must of sin the person who had thrown it because they gave him a righ mouthfull,we dont need things like that happening its only a game after all

Coyle was shocking today. I was impressed with most of the forwards though. Best side won on the day, our halves were pretty poor I thought.

Around 600 max from Leigh, including those in the South! Those that came were a credit though, so well done to them.

Not a lot in it Richard. Your guys showed much more spirit and appetite for the game. I was hoping that we might have taken more than that, but can't really tell when you're in the thick of it.

Personally I thought there was at least 900 Leythers today. The two sections they were sat in hold 600 apiece. There were a few spaces in them but there weren't any big gaps.

Very disappointed today as I thought we'd done enough to win and were the slightly better side but well done to Leigh, they simply got more points!

Ref was dodgy full stop and although it's a running joke, the situation with forward passes in the game as a whole needs sorting. When he finally pulled Leigh for one, it actually wasn't!!!!

900 will do for me though I don't think it was close to that! My bigger concern was with the high tackles today (for both sides) where Roby seemed to miss some glaring ones yet gave penalties for some very borderline ones.

Well in the after match speaches steve o connor said early indications were that there was at least 800+ leythers and thanked us for the support, so would say final counts will be between 8-900.

I agree with this, we just didn't get enough from Coyle or the halves. Also thought we drove it up the middle a bit too much as we just didn't get any change out of the Leyther forwards all day (bar Kavanagh's run early on). Thought there would be a few more Leythers than there were given their form this season, but I suppose any team that brings more than a couple of hundred in this division deserves praise.
