Only just read your threads. You posted on another that Widnes had signed Liam Thompson even though Wigan had offered him a contract.
Liam is a relative of mine and I can confirm that they did offer him a new contract but at reduced wages. He decided to have a look around to see what else was on offer. Salford and Widnes were both interested and he spoke to Terry o'Connor last Friday. He decided that his chances of first team appearances would be better at the Vikings than at Salford or Wigan. The Vikings recent track record with both their own young players and also Wigan's on dual registration is very impressive. I hope more of Wigan's youngsters are allowed to sign for the Vikings, judging by Liam Farrell's improvement this season!!
