Oh yeah im a jelous ex player of danny hulme !!

Don’t think so im just having my opinion im entitled to that, dont think many of his team mates rate him either.

This always gets me. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion. You are not entitled to have that opinion and not have it ever challenged or questioned. People aren't trying to silence you, they're disagreeing with you. Your opinion is based on a few appearences early on into his career. People are fed up of moaning around here, look at what happened to Stephen Myler. Give him his chance and get off his back!

If it were up to you Shane Grady never would have gotten out of the starting blocks, and now he is doing great.

I could understand if mentioned a player been here a few years like yates.I have not seen lots of hulme but what i have seen he looks a decent player.

ok, that try he scored how did you rate that, you know his support play to that superb break from another youngster Paddy Flynn and the way he found his way to the line leaving the defence in tatter was that "poo" ?

I must admit when i first heard Danny was a first team squad member i was really excited. His dad in no uncertain terms was a legend for this club, a great leader and was tough as nails and he could play a bit too. I would rank him in my top 4 Widnes players along with his brother/Tony Myler and Offiah. Judging Danny purely on performances thus far he has done absolutely nothing wrong and his core skills appear to be very good. He can defend as well as attack when needed and isnt scared of anyone. He also looks to have a fair bit of pace and judging by his determination in getting over the whitewash on Monday i see no problem with him whatsoever. His dad doesnt take any prisoners and has brought him up the right way, im sure he's seen all the videos of his dad so knows what he has to live up too.


My opinion is we have a little star that needs support, im judging Danny on his own merits not just because of the name. He's done everything needed of him thus far.

Danny’s doing very well. Cautious optimism is the way to view young, precocious talent. Over-the-top praise and high expectations can lead to disappointment (see Scott Yates for details). Too much expectation will lead to knee jerk reactions to the inevitable mistakes young players make while developing. This adds a kind of pressure that is unwarranted and which can affect performance.

Mindless damning of a player who’s only played two games is just silly though. Jamie needs to get a grip!

From what I have seen of Hulme, he looks an exciting prospect. To say he is poo is just complete madness. His tackling is very good (he actually tackles around the legs). His support play is superb, his distribution from acting half was crisp and he actually looked to run from dummy half, something that our current number 9 could take note of.
