More like the rest of his team mates made him look like a pub player!

Anyone would look poor when you only pass to him about 3 times. There was a perfect opportunity to kick to him late in the 1st half from a scrum but Doran just picked up the ball, made 2 yards then took the tackle. Penny's very specific attributes mean he's never going to be an all round player, but if you use him in the right way he can do some very good things. Its all about playing to his strengths, something we did do to a ceetain extent against Gateshead, but certainly not against Batley.

I seem to remember a certain winger in a similar mould from the late 80s being hailed as a god because of the way his team played to his strengths.

I think Penny will develop and improve. He has great pace and can score some wonderful trys. He works hard and wants to do well for himself and his team mates.

I think he will be a great asset to Widnes and I hope he comes back to the wire the better for it.

Thought he had an okay game yesterday. Missed one or two tackles but recovered well. We really need to get the ball to him alot more. Im also not too sure Black would have made it to the line if he hadnt have dropped the ball, Penny was on his case fairly quick.

Showed passion at the end of the game aswell, he was delighted with the win and applauded the crowd. Lets try and keep him for longer

I was very suprised Kevin did not pin his ears back and go for the corner when he had acres of space and would have blazed into the corner.

Was left on his own a bit in defence yesterday but I thought handled it brilliantly and used his pace as a weapon in defence!

Instead of running out to tackle he simply stood off a bit and left the centre in two minds whether to pass or run, also knowing either way Penny would catch him / winger! So by not commiting to a tackle Penny saved a few tries there!
