The season has finshed and what do we think TRULY.

For me it has been a minor improvement on last season, making the playoffs but not playing the style of rugby which is ever going to win anything and not confident every week that we can win. Big players have to be Moa O'Mealy Fitsgibbon Houghton Briscoe Tickle

Coaching: Very poor no great ideas still playing same way of down the middle and no link play

Requirements: Two new half backs who attack the line with speed and quickness of mind to get rid of the money takers Berrigan Long Yeaman

I am a Hull fan who wants to see fast flowing rugby with a coach who has ideas and passion and a board who will know when a player is past his best and spend on the right player

Poor season for me as a whole.

We had 3 games where winning was a must (CC cup Leeds, Final game Leeds and Play off game) and we failed to win any of them.

Better than last season but still a long way to go if we are going to compete. in a nutshell another dissapointing season.

One word, AGAR, he could coach the sting out of a bee!

I posted a while back that i would judge our season on the last two league games (Warrington and Leeds) and how we do in the play-offs. I thought at the time we would maybe kick on and do something.

I acknowledge there were mitigating factors (Radders sending off as an example) but after those two games and last nights showing i would say in summary the season was an improvement on the last two (couldn't do much worse really) but overall poor....to many negatives outweigh the positives for me.

Mediocre at best.

But Hull FC will hail it as an outstanding success to come 7th and the leemings on here WILL ACCEPT it.......

Only real 80 minute display for me was St Helens away, round one.

We saw good first halves away to Bradford, Huddersfield, Catalans and Harlequins and of course that terrific comeback at home to Saints. However defeats to Crusaders, Salford, Wakefield and Harlequins really cost us. All of those were unacceptable performances.

It was a relief to get to the playoffs but that should have been an expectation with our squad not a target, therefore to lose at the first stage and ultimately finish 7th means a very average season.

While we have a below average coach we have no chance. Out thought again yesterday. To many average players on high incomes still.

We took a chance on ageing players and in my opinion we signed the best available .

Were inconsistent and our 2nd tier players don't perform in big games.

Another off season of rebuilding and hopefully a improvement next season.

It's clear were going for the right players but, unfortunatley, they won't come.

yeh better then last couple of seasons but its not that hard is it after finishing bottom and next to bottom.
another poor year and i really dont think next season is really going to be any better with the recruitment so far and with other teams progressing its going to be really hard to even get in the top 6 again just shows how low weve come from 2005-06
