| Quote JMSports_Ltd="JMSports_Ltd"I feel sorry for him because people dont know the facts behind the scenes and he is taking the flack for everything when a large percentage is down to other people.
He's been in the office a few times but I'm not sure he is ready to start doing fitting sessions with netball teams just yet, you have to earn that right!!
'"
Do you think that some of the behind the scenes stuff would put off any top class coaches from accepting the Hull post should Agar decide that enough is enough?

Without a shadow of a doubt.
To be fair I dont know why or what a top class coach is.
Justin Morgan was not a top class coach and maybe still is not considered to be one but the KR fans in the most part want him there.
Same with Terry Materson at Cas and Rob Powell at Quins.
Hull need to start looking at a few underlying issues within the club instead of sacking coaches and expecting the next man to take crap for a few years before doing the same. Richard Agar will get a job, Peter Sharp went straight into another job and has since gone to Australia and had a choice of jobs and John Kear and Mcrae both seem to have carved out pretty decent careers after leaving Hull.
Surely all of those blokes cant be bad otherwise they would of gone for good but they are all still in the game at the highest level.

Once he leaves us, Agar will never be a head coach in SL again.
Kear had won a Challenge Cup before he came to us and another one with us. McRae had won SL with Saints and taken us nearly to the top. If he leaves tomorrow, Rich Agar has the square route of precisely nothing that he can point to to justify him getting another crack at the top level.

Except for the fact that he is so well thought of in the game he was wanted for the England job.
Whats to say he wouldnt become an assistant and take over again?
He could lead a Championship side into Super League. Wakefield, Fev, Barrow?
You can never say never.
I follow Quins and believe me, not one person I spoke to game after game down there though Mac would work again when he left Quins.
Depsite the crap he got for the time he was down there the people who knew what he was doing from day to day are now seeing the fruits with plenty of young English lads getting game time and doing a pretty decent job so far this year too (forget today or I look silly)
Leeds have not given him the job because he is cheap, or for the way he took Quins to 11th, it was because people got off their ass and bothered to check the work he was doing.
Richard Agar can coach, I'm not sure Hull will give him enough time to prove it but someone will.
Everyone has their own opinion and I respect yours, fact is neither of us know for sure what the future holds buddy.

No, I'm allowed to change my mind on the new coach before the current one is "binned"

I agree with a lot of your sentiment regarding laying the blame at the players feet and not just Agar, I have been saying that for long enough on here. The thing is that Agar has had the job a while now and has had the chance to clear out players who behave badly and this is now his team. There are still so many things we do badly, support play, defensive line speed, defensive technique, winning the floor, passing the ball wide quickly I could go on.
A lot of this is players attitudes I agree but it is up to the head coach to change these attitudes and if he can't control the players then that is another thing he is not doing well enough.
I won't be campaigning to get the guy the sack but I don't think we can go on to win things or challenge for trophies with him in charge, he just seems a touch out of his depth.

good post but as supporters enough is enough and i hope fans do campaign and do go to games because that seems the only option now which is sad but the only thing we can do

I would add to that:
If Richard Agar is such a principled man and such a good coach, why has he not spoken out about his concerns and walked away from what must be (according to JMSports), an invidious situation? After all, again according to JMSports, there would be a queue of clubs, looking for his services.
