Barring this season and the last, Horne's try assists have been around the 15 mark for a full season. Whereas the top 5 players (Try assists) every year have been averaging around 28 +.

In 2006 Lee Briers made 38 try assists for the season playing 27 games. Richard Horne made 12 playing 28 games.

Thats shocking for a so called creative player.

2005 Horne made 13 assists to Harris' 30. Again a poor showing.

Whats any of that got to do with how utterly crap Thorman is at 7? He is beyond rubbish with the ball in hand and he has 1 good kicking game in 5. Its not really Hornes job to be creating loads of trys. Its his job to use his footwork to creat gaps and to back up breaks and put the odd kick in. He needs a top quality 7 to partner him, all this talk of Horne not creating much is a red herring.

If you read the other post of the poster you quoted , He tends to think the same.

I personally think Richard Horne would be the best full back in the country if were ever brave enough to put him there. Not going to happen this season as Reardon will play there now i guess.

Not creative as a half back but his running game would suit full back far better. great catcher of ball and would be running at broken lines as opposed to fully set defence when he's at 6

I'd like to see 2 different half backs from whiting/lee/washbrook/berrigan instead of horne and thorman

I agree. FWIW I'd like to see Horne at FB next season with two new half backs.
