You would think thats the case but this is Hull we are talking about, they would pull out of a deal cos the player was asking for too much, where as most fans would agree we need to spend over the odds on our next scrum half.

| Quote: PAUL M "Berrigan is also an option if we have cover for Houghton. Washy perhaps?'"
Reckon Leeds would lend us McShane again? Now him and Houghton sharing the role Cunningham/Roby style would be immense. True, I forgot about using Berro to cover the centre. I'd be a lot more happier with him in the set up, that'll obviously depend on having cover for Houghton.
Half back cover is vital for me also, Long still obviously has to be first choice when fit but we still need some good cover in there too.

If SL has an injury free decent season dont be surprised to see him get another year contract !!
he still has plenty to offer and in fairness has had a near full seaon to rest many smaller niggles and strains he had whilst repairing the bigger injuries, he will be on fire next season ...and with a point to prove

He's already said he wants a further year at Hull after next year before retirement so if he stays injury free he'll probably get one.

This could be a reason why a new wage structure/player evaluation has been brought in so we maximise the cap and are able to offer better deals for better players and improve them if needed? As we may not have had any room to offer more in the past due to paying over the odds/worth for average players.

Good idea, we'll go into next season with two expensive scrum halfs and two expensive props.
That will sort it.

This forum never ceases to amaze me . People think all Hull FC have to do is call and players will come and sign.Cas would want a decent fee. Chase would want a decent payrise to bought out of a contract.
I don`t think there will be any top class talent coming into the Club until the 2012 season.
As for the halfback situation it will Long and Horne for 2011, get used to it.'"
the current squad has plenty of top class talent already

I really hope this isn't true. The quota system is becoming a joke, with clubs looking for any excuse possible to circumvent the rules. Surely the spirit of the thing is to try and reduce the number of overseas players in our competition, not to induce clubs to find ever more imaginitive ways to sign more Aussies. I want to see a Hull FC team (and all SL teams, for that matter) made up largely of English talent, local where possible, complimented by 2 or 3 top class imports.

There is an end in sight to this particular ruse as it only applies to players who were registered for SL clubs prior to 2008 - natural wastage will eventually see the intended limits come into force.

If we have a quota spot available, I would test Cas with a bid for him, he may also be interested in moving to Hull.'"
Orr to share hooker with Hudson? Netherton seems to be on his way and they may want to be more patient with Milner.
