Perhaps we have been wary of signing utility players if we can help it, but this close to the season I don't know what choice we have.

I honestly believe we haven't signed Phelps yet as we view him as a complete last resort.

phelps is a quality player who will have experience in a winning environment. This is a very good signing and just a shame its so late, the only thing stopping him getting a deal was the fact he takes up a quota spot. this wont be the last signing in the next 2 weeks apparantly

Phelps is mr average coming off the back of a serious injury, who was sat twiddling his thumbs because no one wanted him and he takes up a valuable quota spot
