He doesn't have a criminal conviction, although he was in a spot of botherAFTER eight long months, Greg Inglis can finally take the field with a clear head.
The Melbourne and Australia centre ended his long legal battle yesterday when he accepted a diversion order in the Sunshine Magistrates Court, agreeing to pay $3000 to a women's health body and attend a behavioural change program.Inglis was charged with recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault late last year, following an incident which left his girlfriend Sally Robinson nursing a black eye. The charge of recklessly causing injury was withdrawn yesterday, while the other charge was dealt with through the diversion program.'"

arrested for assaulting girlfriend - think he was not charged though (admitted the attack). Cloudy memory... me that is, not him.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Inglis.
I dont see why it is ludicrous. If the Souths situation doesnt work out, and assuming he wants to stay in rugby league, then England is his only viable alternative for a season.
Hull will have a quota space free and presumably a chunk of cap space if Berrigan follows Burnett out of the door.
You play in arguably the best ground in the league and have one of the largest average attendances. Plus having Fitzgibbon and O'meley at the club have to be drawcards.
You need to have more confidence and belief in your club in my opinion.

FC do off-the-pitch as well as anyone in the comp. However, much as I love the club, and that is a lot, we are a let-down on the pitch and playing for Agar is unlikely to float Inglis' boat. Hull is not an attractive destination per se due to its geographical situation. Plus, as said, Inglis has a non-clean record, therefore would struggle to get a visa. Unlikley Inglis would come for Berrigan's wage either IMO, particularly with the loophole closing on offshore payments. But apart from that, nailed on.

| IF Inglis doesnt sign for a NRL club he'll sign for RU. He'll still sign for Souths imo.

A loan back or duel contract agreement with Batley could be an option though.'"
Dont rate the U20 comp at all. Allow him to keep progressing at Batley whilst training full time with Hull.

| If expro says we're signing inglis then you can bet your bottom dollar it will never happen. He's never come up with any rumour that's come true,

| Beau Champion might be a more realistic target, if centre is a priority. Inglis's Souths deal is reported (by the Aussie press, admittedly) to be Au$600k. That's not far off £400k.
Still think letting Berrigan go will create more problems than it solves - unless you do get Inglis!

Plus Champion comes with his own ready-made chant. Very important.

I think he's implied it rather than stated it - he can always deny it then.

What Souths are offering Inglis is irrelevent if they cant follow through with the offer. He will have to accept the best offer he can get.
Berro and Burnetts combined wage must be circa 200k per year. Hull could offer him that and then a Warrington style "retirement" pay off of 200k at the end of the season off the Cap. There is his 400k.

Still... if you're gonna start a rumour it might as well be a whopper eh?
