And to think some on here was believing TS that Trueman could be back by round 1.

Think it was a head clash with Lennon Bursell in the reserves game at weekend. One that knocked them both out and also left Lennon with a broken nose (or similar type of injury). Must have been some force involved.

| Don't know how many on here are going, but do we only have the two blocks in North Stand? (I have a ticket for block B).
We'll be a hardy bunch, huddled together in that corner surrounded by the braying mob!!
I'm going for 66-4 (home win, obviously). Looking forward (if that's the right word!) to quite possibly the most humiliating game of my whole life. bring it on (in small case letters only!!)

Ouch! Sounds painful.
I hope they were both red carded though.

Yeah just the two blocks, around 750 tickets.

Barron has had some bad luck, I thought he put in a decent performance at Wire then went off injured, now this. Its a make or break year for him and its not going his way so far.

| Looking at the 21 man squad release if I was Balmforth I would be asking for a move out the club. Despite the poop shows they have dished up and the issues with Houghton and his hamstring if Smith still won't even put him in the 21 man then can't see him getting a fair crack at first team. Smiths obsession with having Houghton in the side at all costs is just lunacy as its not like he will make the difference in winning or losing so why not rest him and give his hamstring some recovery time.
Smiths interviews are sounding more and more like the inane ramblings of a man that has lost the plot.
I just can not see anything other than an absolute hammering and not only that but another embarrassing performance to add to the list. If we keep the score to under 30 in the first 40mins I'll be gobsmacked.
We've had some turd times and really turd teams over the years but there really is literally very little if anything at all to be positive about, I didn't think we'd get much lower or worse after Hodgson left but my word Smith as an experienced Coach has actually done that.

| Got to agree on Balmforth, destined to be yet another hooker who will move on and tear it up elsewhere.

| Flogging Houghton every game again was always going to be the case as soon as he was made captain. A decision that further reinforces the fact we have no true leaders in the squad.

| Even Dan Tomlinson doesnt have the balls to ask Smith outright why he wont play Balmforth or keeps selecting Houghton who is playing with an injury.
Another heavy defeat looming with fans demanding change.
Maybe this is Pearsons cunning plan to let the abject Smith fall on his own sword by forcing his resignation after the game therefore saving a few bob rather than paying him off

| Think this match will be a lot closer than most think on here. Experienced them since the mid- forties and surprises do occur!
The last I attended was at Wembley in 1980 when I managed to fit the occasion into a business trip from Aus.

| I think we will see more effort but after 60 mins the hammer may fall
We may try harder but we don’t have a game plan
We don’t know how to defend properly
We’re not match fit or match sharp which is a little different to being fit
We’ve an unsettled team and we’re playing a very confident side who really want to win even more than we do
It may look like we try harder but I sense a last quarter melt down and a
52-4 home win
Then Smith will say the culture improved and just hang in there like a
Lemon
Giants at home the following week is not a game I will stay up to 2am for the kick off but rather watch at 9am the next morning
That could be gruesome as well
