I don't mean this to sound like trumpet-blowing, but there were a fair few of us who called this exact situation. The key is the desperation as you mention, which meant that we handed out a 2 year deal as well as a transfer fee on a 30-year-old quota hooker who wasn't/isn't really good enough at halfback. We got ourselves into such a corner we just did what we had to to get somebody (anybody) in, and overlooked whether or not the potential benefits outweighed the potential cost. We may now pay for that.
Also, your last point is quite interesting. Basically his signing would have been a decent one if everything else went down the pan. |

That is not a "rumour" then is it. No name, club or country, not even a position. You don't need to "know" someone for 30 years to have a coup like that ! |

It's a rumour thread! If he's heard a rumour someone is coming to the club, then it's just pure hearsay until it actually happens anyway!
I don't get why people get so worked up about it! You don't have to believe a rumour! |

Its not abuse from me It just baffles me whats the point in saying it ..you actually havent really said anything tbh but hey ho like people have always said its a rumours thread so fair enough. But giving no info you must realise why people would question what you say. |
