So because we would rather Robinson and Chase come to the club, and we would rather put in an offer for them then say Westy or Rovelli, it immediately means that they will/want to come? What if they LIKE it at their current clubs?

Are people seriously thinking that Chase would come here? Don't get me wrong, I would love him at the club, but he is involved in everything at Cas and it would take something pretty special to move him away IMO.

I'm not saying we shouldn't approach them, of corse we should, I'm saying that just because we would prefer a player and splash some cash doesn't mean they will come! How do we know we haven't made an offer and it has got turned down? The club are very unlikely to publish a player turning us down, so they then approach another player, and so on.
