He does have a point though. Gentle has improved players like Turner and Sharp no end. Sandercock has so far taken Welham from the brink of international selection to being the 4th best centre at Rovers behind Salter and Graeme Horne. Surely you can see it's not funny? Unless you're an FC fan, of course.

Welham has always been poor in defence, He's no worse under Sandercock - The structures of our defence has changed and he's seen wanting too often, He isn't alone. The hope is that the players work hard and pick it up, this is no fault of Sandercock to have inherited a team of players unable to perform a 1v1 tackle.

The fact is poor old Sandercock has inherited a poor squad, for fcmonk to suggest that hell turn world class players into poor players is absurd, as we all know we don't have any. Welham wouldn't make a test side with Wayne Bennet as his gaffer, as he just can't tackle.

I don't believe that he is right. I choose to point and laugh at the clinically insane, a counter argument is a waste of time.

The thing is Morgan did the same. He signed some very average players and made them very good players. He got up the noses of Hull fans, but he was a very good coach. Sandercock is a poor coach and the longer he is in charge the more you will struggle

It's clear that Sandercock is primarily here to set up youth structures and he's been seen to be working closely with them. I'm not worried, I'd be worried if there was an exodus of players that were seen as valuable to the fans.

McGuire took Wigan from mid table to champions in 1 year. It reminds me of when Brian Smith took over. Rover's have got a good side on paper. All you Rovers fans could see from an early stage how poor Agar is, but as a Hull fan I wanted him to succeed, your in the same position. I don't think he will last as long as Agar, your board are more ambitious than our last lot

Nail on the head. When Rovers first announced his appointment I said if the had employed him as a youth coach it would have been a good move. But head coach don't kid yourself

1) Gentle's been here 7 months. To suggest he's made no impact whatsoever is a bit silly.
2) Welham was on the brink of international selection having been nurtured through by the astute Justin Morgan. Has he demonstrated the natural progression under Sandercock you say we should expect?
3) We all hope players will work hard and improve. Some clubs employ a coach specifically to aid his process.
4) Don't blame the squad. Rovers don't have an excuses culture, only FC do. See my sig for details.
