It's a single showpiece game which generates interest. In that respect it does a great job, which is good for the game and over time if the interest leads to more players, coaches, fans, money, then the gap might actually have a chance of closing in reality at some point in the future. As I said you can only play what is in front of you so you can't take anything way from Leeds for that.
Is it weighted in the uk clubs favour? Yes. Would I rather it be a level playing field and see a 50 point hammering? No.

TBF Leeds can't win with the rest of the fans in SL. They win because Manly havent had a warm up game and its over here, if they lost people would just laugh.

I agree any SL team do have an advantage but you have to give Leeds credit. The goaline D was impressive and pretty prolific in attack. Shame Sinfield can't play for England the way he does for Leeds every week, he was awesome last night.

Not a Leeds fan but hats off to them last night, they were outstanding and it was a really good game of rugby league!

I've congratulated them on the win on their board. I honestly thought the game would drift away from them at around 55-60 minutes but fair play, they stuck with it and got their heads back up.

I liked the way they tries to make Manly feel at home though, it was a really nice touch importing that beach.

to be fair i think a few SL teams would have beaten manly last night they looked like a team that had just got into the country and had no pre season games

RE the Webb call, say for example ball goes backwards first off, then bounces forward and player picks it up who is stood infront of Webb (thats mre what it looked like to me) it should have been a pen for offside really.

Good win for Leeds and an awesome game, no one is knocking Leeds at all just getting some semblance of reality on the situation.
