Over rated mainly due to the lack of talented british half backs. Wouldn't want to see him back at Hull and he never will as he hates us

Brough looks likely to go to KR, with Cooke going the opposite way to Wakey for a pairing with Kear again.

Brough is a very average SH. Would want Long replacing with someone far better than him (Brough) when he retires.

The problem is who? I dont rate the vast majority of the British SHs and with the quota down to 5 its going to be difficult to get an Aussie in. I would make a SH for 2012 our top priority and if it means losing a current quota player so be it.

I agree. It would be difficult to find someone of a suitable calibre to replace Long, but settling for Brough isn't the answer.

totally agree however thankfully I think we aim somewhat higher than that short now so it would never happen, I am led to believe that we have someone in mind already ...

Horne has had a return to form though, from what I hear, and if that continues adding Ratchford would leave you a bit overstocked in the halves. If SR was a year or two younger he might be happy to spend a year mostly on the sidelines being Long's apprentice, but I think he is too experienced and good for that now. Not ooc until end of 2011 either, from what I recall.
