| Still don't see how people see Briscoe been a brilliant centre? Know one really knows how he'll cope there.
Can he put his winger away or will he be another Yeaman type? Will his positional play in defence be good enough or will he leave his winger too often?
Keep him on the wing, where he's doing a great job and looks the complete winger.

Some good points in there....we know he has been caught out of position whilst on the wing and has improved a lot tin this department lately and like you say,has he got the "hands" to be a very good centre......personally would keep him on the wing.

People asked the same question of Paul Newlove and Keith Senior once upon a time when they started their pro careers on the wing.
Worst case is Tom does not make a quality centre and slips back onto the wing. Its a no brainer gamble for me.

He cant go wrong really can he, if it doesnt work he goes back on the wing!!
Personally i would keep him as a specialist winger where he has excelled beyond all expectation.

I agree we need some form of cover, although it's only going to be a young player I feel. I wondered about someone like McNally on loand for a season? Maybe the club feel they have the cover in Washy, Berro and even Nicklas?

| Well Paul the interesting bit for me as I said in the Diary was when Agar said in the programme that they were talking to players at home and abroad, which may mean that there is some credence in the Berro off Quota stuff, a good young Aussie half back as back up would be ideal!

your not wrong Paul, when all are fit there is a bag of cover already isnt there?
Think Berrigan had a wow of a game at centre last weekend and would like to see him have an extended run there for next season, i have to say since he came out of the other end of his personal issues he has been outstanding imo

Berrigan has been outstanding for a number of weeks now and I too would like to see him at centre, provided we have cover for Houghton, don't want to see him doing the full 80 every week.

But why a back up Wilf lets get somebody in who will be pushing for a starting spot from the off. Horney especially needs putting under pressure for his place IMO. If this club is serious about challenging for honours we need to add more than back up players to the current squad, the starting team needs improving.

| I just wonder if we have the money for that? I think our big moves for half backs will be for 2011. I would have gone for Thackerey but what do I know.

Maybe we would if we didn't keep offering players who aren't good enough extended contracts!!

Berrigan moving to centre has been a real plus attacking wise for Hull and especially Tom Briscoe but the knock on effect is Danny Houghton seems to have lost that spark through playing too many minutes. I am hoping Washy was on the bench to spell him and the Radders sending off changed that because we need a fresher Houghton later in the big games.

Next offseason we will bring in a replacement for Long I would imagine, an overseas one.
