As it looks the only other option is to play Ausie Rules, he might take a year at a lower salary until an NRL club get their salary caps in order for 2012.
We could offer him a decent wedge if Berrigan is offloaded.

Going to be controversial...but singing Inglis would be fantastic for the clubs profile, pass sales, shirt sales etc

but ultimately he isn't the player we need. He is a genuine world class player, but whats the point when we still don't have fit, quality half-backs?

it would just be the same scenario as the last 3 years. With the centres/wings getting one poor pass per game while we drive it up the middle all set.

I would much rather sign a less high-profile half-back from somewhere.

If you get a chance to sign GI you take it, regardless.

I agree he would be an ideal player to bring in as cover.

The problem with bringing in Gareth Moore is that he has developed a lot over the past year by playing first team rugby. He needs to continue playing first team rugby so coming as cover and playing Reserve grade is likely to halt his progress.
A loan back or duel contract agreement with Batley could be an option though.
