For what it's worth, the Knights reserve grade had an amazing comeback win today, scoring 4 back to back tries in the last 15 minutes to move from 34-12 down to 34-34, and Carlos kicked a field goal in the last few seconds to seal the win.

Outside frank. That should bring some tries. 2 ball players. Both can put boot to ball. Frank a top off loader and carlos got some pace. People moaning but potentially
frank
carlos
naughton/Lancaster is for a team lacking the ability to open Defences and pace and strike threat is much better than
ellis
yeaman
talonoa this season

Personally I'm excited by him. There have been a few who haven't made it in the NRL but have made a good impact over here.
I wish him all the best and look forward to seeing him play for us.

Hello everybody, after reading and enjoying this forum for many years I've decided to take the plunge and make my first contribution.

Initially I was seriously underwhelmed by the signing but I'm now optimistic he could be really good for us. After trawling through the Warriors and Knights forums just about all the fans rate him pretty highly. Most say that he has the skillset to be a regular starter in the NRL and should have been given more opportunities. My only concern is that he has played mostly at Stand Off and we are probably going to play in at Centre. Hopefully he can adjust to that position and if he comes over with the right attitude be a success.

Im excited to be fair. Hes played centre before. Not much granted. But he's the skills of a half but already has the defence. He has pace and elusiveness. I mean can you imagine. A hull centre with hands, speed, defence and some vision, even a kicking game as a bonus. Also at 6.1 and 94kgs(a very ripped) 94 is a bit of an athlete. I really do like the idea of him outside pritchard

There truly are some fools on here.

They expect every signing to be State of Origin standard, 20 years old with 10 years experience, pacy, made of steel and speak with a Hull accent.

Tuimavave will be stand-off/centre as required and cover for Pryce. Rankin was signed as a stand-off remember. He's now our no.1 fullback and performing like it. He steps like Preckie and more often than not evades the first man.
Moa was a "project", "overweight" and "small". Now he would walk into any team on the planet. Colin Best was the same. Talanoa was slagged off too. All this proves is that they know knackall.

As usual, the little provincials eye everyone not with a HU postcode with distrust and ready to heap pressure on them before pulling on that shirt. Go support Wyke.

These highlights from the Knights v Mounties (Canberra reserves) might be of interest.
It is the only game this year that Carlos has played at centre.
He is in the 6 jersey, but was moved to centre to make way for Tyler Randell in the 19 jersey to play 5/8.
Carlos scores the first 2 tries and throws the last pass for the 3rd (scored by Jake Mamo).
Moderators, these highlights are freely viewable on the official NSWRL site - no copyright breech.

These highlights are fun too. Knights v Manly reserves last week.
Carlos plays 5/8 and scores a try and has 3 tries scored off his kicks. Everyone can enjoy seeing Manly beaten, and the last try off a Carlos kick is just fun.

You lot absolutely slated us for signing Mantellato last year, for the same reason you are lukewarm towards this signing, i.e. he doesn't have a 100+ NRL appearances behind him. So what? Mantellato has worked out [ibecause[/i of his lack of NRL chances, he had something to prove.

I see this signing as much of the same, he will surprise a lot because he will be hungry.

The only issue I have with the signing is if he's been brought in as a first choice centre. We need a proven, specialist centre IMO as we have no one at the club who is good enough and ready to play there every week. If he's been signed as a direct replacement for rankin as a utility cover then seems OK.

If our other overseas signing is a winger then it leaves us

logan
yeaman?
michaels?
talanoa
tuimavave

None of whom are the quality centre we desperately need- logan and tuimavave may become but aren't there yet
