| Quote Standee="Standee"Yes, it's working for a global brand like Man U, but they still finsihed 2nd in the Premiership by one point, won the Carling Cup and are making profit that services their debt, The Glazers have said, repeatedly, thy don't want to sell.
'"
As much as I am unhappy at our current situation, it is nothing compared to how fans of Manchester United are being screwed over, the two cannot be comapred.
As for the Glazers not willing to sell, I dont think that was ever the aim of the green and gold protest, it was just the first step in uniting the fans against the Glazer family and it has worked effectively, its no coincidence that the red knights takeover campaign has gathered momentum on the the back of the green and gold protests.
One massive difference between the two clubs is that matchday income and season ticket sales makes up a much bigger percentage of turnover for Hull FC then it does for MUFC, and while the Glazers have thousands and thousands of braindead idiots willing to pay whatever it takes to get hold of a season ticket if existing pass holders didnt renew or boycotted, this is not the case with Hull FC, if Hull fans boycotted the board would have no choice but to listen, they would have too.

| I bet the first manu fan who suggested wearing scarves was laughed at. Funny how things turn out. Far too many fans are quick to ridicule but not offer any alternative suggestions. Oh yeah thats right, we'll all just sit on our computers discussing the same things over and over.

FWIW the Man Utd scarf campaign started from a post on forum, but agreed people seemmore interested in knocking an idea rather then doing something psoitive.

| Quote Robbo4="Robbo4"If they were that bothered they would have recruited the best possible person for the most important job at the club. Head Coach!! Either they are more interested in the money or they are completely clueless when it comes to on-field matters. Its also not a FACT that "there is no bigger fan of FC and no one who wants them to do well more than KH".
The FACTS are that we are yet again underachieving in the areas that really matter to the fans. On the pitch. I couldn't give a toss if Agar is the most professional coach in the world, IMO he is not upto the job of making FC a top SL side. He has been given plenty of time to prove himself, well I'm afraid all we ever hear is excuse after excuse and I'm sick of it. The contract extension on April Fools Day was the last straw for me and proof that those at the top are willing to say anything to keep us quiet and they will do whatever the hell they want regardless.'"
my thoughts exactly!! well put

Explain to me what the point for the protest is?
Being profitable?
Being in 6th after 13 games?
There is no basis for a protest, unless you're going to call it the "We dont like Richard Agar" protest, which is, in a word, pathetic.
I dislike Agar as a coach with a passion, but a protest would do nothing but embarass us as fans.

You mean "yes, you're right, but I can't form an argument so I'll just toddle off"

In your world.
You mean to say that after what is now eight pages of this stuff, you come back to me and ask what the point is??
Firstly, I was not trying to 'form an argument', you are.
All I asked in the very first post was, what did people think to a scarf protest. I did not say it was good, bad or otherwise, you appeared to take the view of knowing it all and trying to argue the tQss. I read many people's views and agree with quite a lot - either way.
The point I suppose is that, at the moment there is a strong basis on this forum of people not agreeing with the selection of the present coach. So, rather than sat around on backsides, would fans do something about it - hence the post.
If you don't want to be embarrassed, don't take part, simple.
