Which is who?
I agree about Kearney although I don't think he would come.

| Quote Robbo4="Robbo4"If Agar goes J.Sharp will simply take over and that prospect seems even worse to me. Sacking the coach at this point is not an option IMO. If we dont think Agar will work out we should allows him at the very least until the end of the season and spend the time looking for the "right man" as a replacement.'"
But you know it won't happen like that. What will most likely happen is that we'll stumble along until our season is dead and buried, then panic and sack Agar only to replace him with Sharpe.

What would this achieve? If you're saying we need a top line coach, presumably whoever we apoint as an interim wouldn't fit this description. Indeed, they may be no more suited to the job than Agar.
I think it's too early to state categorically that Agar isn't up to the job. There are certainly doubts, big doubts, but he hasn't really had long enough in charge to be thinking about getting rid just yet.
Give him until the end of the season to sort it out. If we don't at least make the play offs (which I still expect we will), then he should definitely go.

I agree that we shouldn't be looking to sack Agar, but I'm not sure it's too early to say that he isn't up to the job. He's had the tail end of last season plus the longest and least interrupted pre-season in years to get the fundamentals right, and he has clearly failed to do so.
The root cause may well be the players, but Agar seems to have demonstrated that he can't deal with the issue.

The players seem to be the biggest problem right now, god knows why the attitude of them is so wrong but regardless of tactics we could still show desire and work ethic.

There were promising signs earlier in the season. They all looked fitter and sharper than last year. We seemed to be playing as a team. The attack was lacking in ideas, we still scored some decent tries. I thought the ideas would come as they gelled a bit more.
Then it all seemed to go suddenly very wrong. We now have a bunch of disinterested looking players doing very little to warrant their salaries.
Ok, there have been some baffling team selections, and the rotation policy seems to lack any sort of sense, but I don't think this alone is responsible for our abject showing the past few weeks. If there is a problem with certain players' attitudes, then you could argue that Agar should sort it out. But to do this, he'd need backing from above. Backing that we know wasn't offered to Kear when he was in a similar position.

| Quote Chris28="Chris28"Is he married to Peter Sharp? Or Neil Hudgell?'" Nope its just he left Parramatta to save his marriage as his family were still living in Newcastle so i dont think moving to the other side of the planet would go down too well.
