| Quote: weaver93 "If PG,wants us to play the same style,as Wests -he would fit in. Chase plays a similar style to Marshall,
PG admitted this in an interview, when we played Cas.
Personally,I wouldnt pay more than £150,000 for a quota player.,but he is a type of player who has that 'X Factor', who can get fans on the edge of their seats.
Judging by fans on Salford forum, they aint fussed if Holdsworth goes.,he is OOC in 2013.
Put it this way, I'd rather have Holdsworth than Horne at 6.'"
Agree with all this. Got to wonder whether the whole long term deal for Chase at Cas was designed with the eventuality of getting a big fee in mind.

With Horne at 6, our attack is pedestrian, and has no imagination, coupled with his legendary kicking game,
we'll never kick on.-IMO

While what you're saying is correct, we do really miss him when he doesn't play.

| I think Holdsworths a decent player and id be quite happy to have him at Hull and hes a damn sight better than frigging Matty Smith
Chase is a nono for me. He goes missing more than he performs though that might be because of the fact that Cas arnt exactly the best side

Couldn't agree more, however a half back combination of holdsworth and seymour for 3 years is hardly going to be a grand final winning combination either. seymour is a steady type of player from what I've seen. We need someone with some spark to play alongside him

| Surely Hull have already said that Horne is seen as next seasons FB anyway.
If rumours of Jamie Ellis leaving are to be believed, this means our Half Backs next year will be Seymour and............ Oh hell, that's it at this moment in time!
All the top teams have 3 quality specialist half-backs in their squads so maybe were looking at 2 signings in this area! I'd like to see a Chase or a Finch along with a good back-up player (i don't think moving Westerman or Whiting counts).
Horne can't cover as we've no real other option at full-back either! Maybe Heremaia is the answer for covering HB? Has he played much there before and was he any good ?

| I'd take holdsworth but only with the right half back partner . Wouldn't think he'd work with either Horne or Seymour . Reckon him and chase would work but can't see us signing 2 half backs .

| If we ended up with Holdsworth I don't think it's as bad as people are making out. He's better than Horne and is creative with a decent kicking game. Two things to his game that are better than Hornes. I would rather have Chase but we'll have to fork out over £100,000 for him and no one knows wether he'll suit our structured style.
Don't forget Wigan and Saints are after Matty Smith, which clearly shows what options are available in SL.

| Why can't we sign 2 half-backs.
It's HB and Prop whch are currently priority for i think.
Despite The big wage for Ellis, surely McKinnon, Manu, Turner, Martin, Burnett, Moa, O'Meley, J.Ellis + maybe others i've forgotten, would free up plenty of cap. I can't see Pitts or Arundel being on big bucks!

| We could sign 2 but doubt there's enough quality about to get 2 , plus other clubs are chasing half backs as well .

| I'm hoping and praying that Gentle has got another reserve grade 'Dobson-esque' type player lined up grom the NRL who can cut it over here !
Mind you, as you rightly state, i guess every coach in SL is trying to find the same.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Quote: A unknown superstar "I don't think he's first choice at Canterbury or not, but Keating is pretty decent at 7 for them. If he's usually a back up, would he be worth considering? From the games I've seen him play in, he looks pretty good. Perhaps Sheldon or someone else who watches alot more of the NRL could shed some light on him?'"
Good player with a good kicking game, nothing spectacular but works hard.
He started this season as Bulldogs 6 and moved to 7 when Hodgkinson got injured, Hodgkinson's on his way back and the form Josh Reynolds at 6 may see Keating droped and not be offer a new deal.

| Can't see teams like Salford and hudds letting 2 half backs go , especially when there 2nd half backs holdsworth and brough are both under contract . Think unless we get finch we may after go to aus for someone .
