| Quote: WormInHand "Yes, on Tuesday the Mail printed a story suggesting there was a thaw in relations between the council and the Allams as the council were going to sponsor the squash tournament. For anyone still in doubt as to Assem Allam's feeling towards HCC, the Mail were forced to retract yeasterday
The LimpDerms, like their supporters, will support anything that isn't Conservative or Labour, because they can. They are as much use as a one legged man in a bottom kicking contest.

| I'm sure the FA are quaking in their boots.
The Allams will walk soon. There's only so much foot stamping you can do.

| They showed their true colours last week for me when they were quoted as sayingIf the FA does not allow our plan, we will walk away, put it on the market to sell the club. We would not put it into liquidation; there is a lot of money at stake. I will get my money when I sell'"
They aren't trying to do this for the good of the club, they're doing it for the good of their bank account.

| Mr Allam junior is now rltalking himself into a cornerrl in the HDM. Worth a read.
eg Quote: Everton Chang "To support his case, Mr Allam pointed to Everton’s new shirt sponsorship deal with Thai beer brand Chang, worth an estimated £5.3m a season.'"
"Everton Chang", anyone?
He might as well quote Nike's £650m sponsorship of Manchester United over the next 10 years.
Quote: Everton Chang "However, asked if the club had had any sponsorship offers based purely on changing the club’s name, he admitted

Hang on. I'm sure they recently said they had sponsorship lined up that was dependent on the name change?

| You're not mistaken in that recollection.
Perhaps new sponsor got bored and fecked off, or perhaps it was more bullting. Who can tell.

| Doc Junior does not really know what to say. Clearly not been primed very well by Papa Doc.
£10M a year is also not really going to make a great deal of difference. You need hundreds of millions simply to stand still in the Premiership.

| City need £25mil or they will not be allowed in Europe.
I'm told Tiger Airways are lined up, but doubt that much cash will be involved.
In other news Etihad paid £500mill to rename eastlands......

| Pearson takes our training base to YPI, Allam gazumps him when he decides to buy, according to rumour. Pearson takes our training base to Bishop Burton and announces our long term future and investment there, Allam announces... etc.
I did hear rumours a year or so back after Pearson left City that Allam was undermining Pearson's business deals but I don't know how true this is. What we do know is that Pearson had his access to the Chairman's hospitality suite on matchdays revoked, our request to practice kicking on the pitch refused and the whole picturegate embarrassment. All this stinks of, at worst, a vendetta, and at best malicious pettiness.
I hope there's nothing sinister in Allam's proposed move to Bishop Burton. Money talks, but not always concludes, as YPI eventually found out to their cost. As did Ionians. Trust Bishop Burton values what it already has and is a shrewd observer.
Anyway, wasn't Pearson hinting at a further training development site somewhere recently?

Yeh Chamberlain Road we have just bought some land there!
For what it worth the whole name change is for me simply now nothing more than blackmail he is scaring a lot of older fans into voting yes with all the threats he is putting out there. First he was going to double the admissions if he didn't get his way then he is threatening to walk within 24 hours now they will put it up for sale. Some City fans are scared stiff and why do I mention it or why am I concerned Well for me and a lot of others the Bishop Burton thing is just a symptom of the general disease and we will be next in his firing line, he's after us or Adam as you say he is already making it really difficult for us at the Stadium. Perhaps some of us are paranoid but I bet I'm proved not to be in the longer term.
