Quote: Mrs Barista "Agree with most of that, but if it suits Kath to keep her shareholding she holds all the cards. We need someone with more money than sense to buy her out.

Plus, as I've said we could get a top drawer coach for what we pay Agar and Sharp combined but we choose not to. It's not a case of being cheap, just choosing to invest the same amount of money in the wrong place.'"

But, throwing money at the problem will not make a blind bit of difference.

The whole point of the salary cap was to level the playing field. As Hull FC generates enough income to have the maximum spend on players, the addition of extra cash will not make any difference to the playing squad.

The problem lay with the players. As a group, they have not really performed for the last 4 seasons on a consistant basis. Surely so many different coaches cannot be so similar and poor.

There's a suggestion on the BBC 606 website that some were in Sugar Mill on Saturday night icon_rolleyes.gif

Quote: The Hollywood Frasier "I think they are lazy in everything they do. Our goal line defence and kick chase game which are good indicators of a sides enthusiasm are pathetic.

Dont even get me started on the lack of off the ball running by our players as strolling through with your hands up isnt going to make any defence think your going to get the ball.'"

We had this discussion last season IIRC, lazy players!!

Stand back instead of making an unselfish run, don't support the man with the ball, don't chase every kick like it matters.

Our biggest problem lies not with Agar or players abilities its down to attitude. We are too dumb and too lazy.

I think it can be attributed to players abilities in some regard as the mobility and speed in our back-row is terrible and these tend to be the players who do most of the off the ball work.

In most sides their 13 is the main off the ball worker and we have Radford playing there which sums up everything wrong about our percentage rugby priorities.

I said after the Quins match, they made twice as many metres just playing the same one many rugby as their backrow had more mobility and pace about them.

Quote: Rock God X "Whilst it's obvious that some people are over reacting on this thread, '"

No over reaction im afraid its simply people now saying what they feel!!
last week I echoed all that has been said on this thread and was torn to shreds as an "over reactor"
NOW tell me there isnt an issue and a bad one...
lets look at it clearly
1, we are clearly one of the biggest clubs in the world!
2, we have a HUGE following come bad or good that pay thousands/ millions into the club.
3, we have possibly the best sponsorship in the game.
4, we make profit year after year.
5, we play in one of the most modern arenas in RL.
6, our team is almost all internationals past or present.
7, we have one of if not the best youth culture in RL.

SO WHY DO WE CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE CHEAPO ROUTE WHEN IT COMES TO HEAD COACHES??????

surely it makes sense to place someone who knows the game at the highest level in charge , why isnt the coach the highest paid in the club???
penny pinching at coaching level is in my opinion the whole problem here, Agar has been part of one failed regime after another and is unfortunately indoctrinated into that same lethargic style of footbal we have witnessed for too long.

maybe there would be more urgency in the team and coaching staff if relegation was still an issue!!

what do we have to look forward too
MORE EMBARASSMENT AGAINST HKR AND SAINTS!!

so tel me everyone who was knocking me last week!!!!
at what point DO we start to worry !!

IMO there’s a severe lack of passion, pride and commitment throughout the squad. I saw one of the first team players (not involved in yesterdays game) on the concourse before the match, he was dressed in jeans and a hooded top. Call me old fashioned but you’d at least expect first team squad members to wear a club tracksuit at the very least. You’d think they, like the majority of the fans, would be proud to be associated with the club. After yesterdays performance I couldn’t help thinking we need a complete overhaul at the club, someone to come in and shake the entire club up!

same thing we have said for a long time Paul!!
too many old school players in the team still... oine or two that should have gone some time ago!!
BUT again its down to the coach to spot this and coach it out of them or transfer list them!!!
at the end of the day it boils back to Agar every time im afraid....

if Eddie Stobard want a HGV driver they get one with the correct credentials and experience to match their standing in the haulage world!!! they dont hire a guy who owns a transit van !!!
Agar is a transit van man, little succes if any, and having learned ihis trade from other unsucessful head coaches

How many coaches have we sacked in the last few years? At some point the players need to take some responsibility and the board need to back the coach and get rid of some of the unprofessional dead wood. Its the players that are currently playing way below standard and not putting the effort in.

agreed but the whole point is that Agar should never have been the choice in the beginning should he!!!

But you can't lay the blame solely at Agar's door. His tactics might be questionable and his selections bordering on ridiculous, but he's not the one meandering around the pitch like he doesn't really care.

if his selections border ridiculous and his tactics questionable and HIS team are meandering around aimless ............................................
what more excuses do we need???

he is not a SL coach!!

Listen Warrington were jonny on the spot when it came to bringing in TS to solve the inexperience issue they had , they accepted they had made a mistake with an inexperienced coach and made the cut!!
HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT, THIS IS AN ISSUE FROM LAST SEASON ONWARDS NOT JUST THIS SEASON FFS

No but that was last year. The decision was made and we have to get on with it and if the players aren't happy then tough $hit!! If we dont agree with the boss at work do we stop doing our jobs properly and expect to not get sacked? Agar was given a contract and whether you or I agree with it or not he should be allowed to at least see it out IMO. I'm prepared to lay some of the blame on the tactics etc but they were working when the players actually put some effort in so the players need to look at themselves as well.
