i would say he was pretty close to being our best player, not far.

there are a number of players who are going really weel, Houghton,Tickle and Manu are amongst them, but to say Manu is our best is a stretch in my opinion, we'll mis him, but we wont lose games because he isn't in the hoops (imho) and that's even IF he's going.
I'd rather have Ellis than Manu, especially if Manu doesn't have the heart for FC that I thought he did.

| Quote: Kosh "All public sources are indicating that the competing contract - whoever it may be with - is 'substantially' larger than the one on offer from FC and for one year less as well. Given that the FC offer would make him one of the highest earners at a club spending full cap, I'd say that 'silly money' is about spot on myself.'"
How can you say that 'silly money' is 'spot on' purely going off 'public sources'? What even constitutes 'silly money' anyway?
Hull aren't going to come out and say that 'we've offered an alright deal, fingers crossed he signs' are they?
I'm sure that you as fans are sick of seeing that Gareth Ellis will be on 'silly money' yet you say it here about the possible Manu contract

| IMO Houghton, Seymour, and Lynch have been our most important players this season. Tickle has been our best backrower.

I honestly don't give a flying one what fans of other teams think we might have paid Ellis. I'm confident that we paid an amount in line with his quality, and equally confident that we weren't the largest offer on the table in pure monetary terms. Others are free to believe what they like.
It's clear from club, press, and private sources that the offer to Manu would make him one of the club's top earners. We spend full cap so our top earners are likely to be not far off the top earners at similar spending clubs. The same multiple sources agree that there is a counter offer on the table for 'substantially' more money. Granted the phrase 'silly money' is subjective, but I think that most people would probably say that paying a 32 year old substantially more than similar top earners at the top spending clubs would be in that bracket.

even more so, IF it's Skints, as they don't have the money to back up theire noise, if he stays great, if he goes, fiar enough, can't blame him. If my phone rang now and someone offered me 20% more a day for the same work at no extra outlay to me, I'd bite their hand off.

Not as much as a stretch to state he is FAR from the best, which is what you have claimed.

Lol,not even Hudgell is daft enough to push them over the edge with a contract like that. They're cutting back not pushing on.

Taken from the Saints board, worth reading just to see Roes comments about Sandercock
I see Dave Parker still gets his information from this forum then.
