I'd call that progress. I hope Radford does too.

Progress? We're a toothless mid table team at the moment.

| Looking at the stats a pretty even game, think the sin binning played a crucial part in losing.
Looking at individual stats.
Houghton made 66 tackles and not one miss.
Westerman 48 tackles, 6 tackle busts and 25 hitups.
Bowden and Paea made great yards
Whiting and Heremia were totally under used.
Whiting only made 4 carries and Heremia made as many tackle (1) as try assists.
Looking at the stats (and I know they only tell half the story), but Rankin isn't doing it at the moment. Maybe time for Miller next week?

Long may it continue, been our standout so far.
Ellis's tackling is immense, if only we could see him on the offensive more often blasting through holes like he regularly did for Wests.

| People called for Westerman to step up and he is doing, don't think he can do much more really leading from the front.
Rankin had a very quiet game yesterday but I am not sure I would swap anybody just yet, we were just undone by some awful reffing

A few things I notice there:
Radio Humberside commentary mentioned Westerman conceding penalties in the last 15 minutes 2 or 3 times, but those stats only have him conceding 1. Shows how well they follow/understand what's happening.
Paea with big metres again, looking like the cracking signing we hoped/suspected he would be.
Only 6 carries from Paleaaesina, how long was he on for?

| Very impressed with the performance yesterday despite the result. I personally thought Child had a bit of a shocker yesterday. The blood bin situation with Horne sums it up. How could he stop the game for a Warrington player to be treated yet let play continue and make us play with 12 men? Absolute disgrace in my opinion.
That said we really do need to address the penalty situation. Yeah, some of them might be 50/50 calls but we're still doing too much and given the refs the excuses they need to blow the whistle. I believe all their tries came on the back of penalties? Our defence was brilliant but we're unnecessarily putting ourselves under pressure.
Our attack looks pretty good and if we can learn to be a bit more clinical and improve that game management Radder's talked about then I think a lot of teams will struggle to cope with us.
All in all the signs are looking good.

| Certainly doing better than expected.
The signings seem to be better than it looked when they signed and young players like Bowden stepping up.
I think if we can improve a couple of areas we have a real chance of finishing in the top 4.

Unfortunately, yes they all are. But I think Childs is one of the worst. Good to hear the opposition saying they weren't happy with him either. Sometimes I think we can be a bit biased...

According to the SL website the stats say Hull 10, Wolves 7 which is pretty tight. I'd be interested to see what areas of the pitch he gave the penalties in for both sides.
