True, all sides have them, I can't see him making the England squad though.

People writing Paul Prescott off can't have been watching much of him over the past couple of seasons. He's developed in to a fantastic player who plays the game simple and very tough. The lads development was only ever held back by injuries but they've been few and far between (touch wood) in the past 2 or 3 seasons and it's shown.

He shouldn't be a million miles off an England spot if he keeps this seasons form up and as for him leaving Wigan I'd be stunned. He's not off contract at the end of this year and there's no way the club will let him go.

Him along with Mossop and a really suprising package in Dudson will be the cornerstone of Wigans front row for years.

Think we tried for Prescott and Hargreaves or at least we were lead to believe we'd approached them.

O'Meley isn't actually injured. He's been told by the club he is overweight and needs to shed a bit of timber, which he isn't happy about. Apparently spoken to some of the KR Aussies and said he doesn't want to play for FC again while Gentle is in charge.

It can't be true, because there is no way in the world anybody would fall out or be angry with Mr. Gentle.

Big call to leave him out, but he did the same with Jamie Ellis who knuckled down and lost the weight.

if true, o'meley needs to grow a pair and grow up! he's a paid pro and if gentle wants him to lose a few pounds he should do so, he is after all employed by the club!

Lots of players carry a bit of timber at the start of the season. If it still remains weeks into the season then there maybe other issues (like he doesnt give a flying one about diet) so Gentles left him out. Its plausable
