| For me our attack stopped every time the ball got to Yeaman. Yes he can defend but he brings nothing in attack.
Was surprised just how fast Talanoa actually is when he gets in to his stride. Michaels is like lightning. Rankin has great footwork.

| Quote: Jake the Peg "Mixed bag for me. We looked clueless with ball in hand again early on and our defence was sloppy at times but with a bit more composure we could have had another 2 or 3 tries so some positive signs. Backs still too slow and not enough quality props. Agree we looked better without westerman.
Kick chase wasn't great at times - we put in some good bombs which weren;t contested well enough for me and there was a complete lack of pressure on the catlans kicker for the whole game. les cats are pretty gash and really only fed off our mistakes other than their well worked first try'"
Ref killed us. The play of the ball messing killed the momentum. A scoreline of 50 ish was looking possible as you could see us building in confidence.
Bit unfair on the props tonight. Thought they all contributed n kept the momentum up. Or as much as the reffing would allow. Thought green had his best game of the year today

We were playing stupid cliche bingo, weren't we? I mean, that's the only explanation that makes sense given that you won't be able to quote one single poster who has expressed happiness regarding our season so far.'"
I raise you "papering over the cracks" which I predicted before leaving the KC, and there it was.

Yet another comment based on piffle pulled out of the air, rather than based on any facts.

| Massively relieved to get the 2 points tonight, but WTF was Bentham doing, that has to be one of the most inept performances I've seen since Fred Lindop took to the field, Bentham was criminally incompetent, and yet more evidence that the reason we as a game are being held back is directly linked to crass officiating.
Forget expanding rugby league to the nether regions, we need to make sure we have officials who understand and can implement the rules first, otherwise we really are up Shiites creek without a paddle.

| I might be in the minority here, but aside the Houghton incident I didn't think the ref had a bad game.

1st half I thought he could of blown for loads of pens but went down the keep the game flowing path. Which I thought fair enough. 2nd half was the worst most messy ridiculously slow ruck I've ever seen. We we're building in confidence n ready to pull away n then they just slowed us down n the ref let them. Radford almost pointed the finger at him for our injuries n I don't disagree. Pryce n sneyd were lucky to finish the game. Pryce at one point took a late shoulder charge. Nothing. Greens was a result of being hit after the pass. At one point last night sneyd got tackled as he took the pass from dummy half n fumbled it forward yet the ref called forward even though the defender would have had to have been 3 times faster than Usain bolt
Truly truly dire reffing in the 2nd half imo

Which one? The Catalan 'knock on'?

You were spot on about Catalan, good through the middle but their defence is poor once you get to the 2nd row/centre areas (although I thought Taia had a good game, felt a bit sorry for him).

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Decent performance after a dire first 20 minutes, couple of right brainfarts gifted them a couple of tries. Pryce, Lineham, Rankin showed up well. Catalans were poor though. You'd have to be a complete fool to think beating them at home equated to a free top 6 pass.'"
Agree with those you mention, and I'd add Michaels (show Yeaman the video of Lineham's 2nd for how to draw a defender and time the pass to your winger) and a small mention to Green as well. Not that he was amazing, but after some deserved criticism this season I thought his 1st spell last night showed some of the aggression he needs to bring every week. If he can do that he'll at least give himself a fighting chance.

| Quote: UllFC "Good to get a win, and some great efforts from some knackered players, but let's not kid ourselves both sides were poor and made loads of errors and a better side would have wiped the floor with either side. That try after the hooter before halftime shows how dumb our rugby is at times, all we had to do was kick it dead or invite a tackle and go dead on the floor!'"
Or we could have even just let the tackle go into touch, where it was headed. Why we felt the need to throw the ball aimlessly back into play with 4 seconds on the clock is beyond me.
