Maybe they will have to realise that a successful club has to have a succesful team on the pitch as the cash cow is starting to lose patience. Bring in Nobby until October and then re think. Lets face it half the team is going at the end of the year and that can only mean starting from scratch again next season.

Agar isn't a yes man either, he's a grunt man.
Whatever people say about Agar he's divided opinion from the day he was appointed because some felt there weren't sufficient grounds for giving him the job and others felt he deserved his chance. Noble has a track record and standing within the game that means we could all unite behind him from day one. I'm pretty sure a while back he was quoted as saying he'd love to coach one of the Hull clubs aswell

I think it's a bit of an insult to someone of Noble's standing to ask him to come in until the end of the season while we re-assess.

In the hyopthetical scenario the board let Agar go, however, can't see Noble coming for just a year. So you're then into the "Why don't we get the next Maguire instead?" debate.

IF we are going to make a coaching change it needs to happen before the recruitment for next season is finalised. The board were very quick to give Agar the contract extension (Easter time?) so if things are going badly they should be just as quick to make a decision the other way. He has had long enough and has built "His Team" so should be held responsible.

Give him 3 years then. I am just not entirely sure Nobby wants long term contract. At least he will be able to attract new players when this squad breaks up in September.

| I believe that after today the board must re-consider the position of Ricahrd Agar [& Richard Agar must also re-consider his position]. This is not a knee-jerk re-action to the result today. I have had this opinion for a consider time. I do not believe that the club can allow 6-10 matches to go by, before 'stepping in'. I believe positive action should be taken now.
I am aware that the players should shoulder some responsibility but in the end the coach is the one who in my view is in charge of the team.

What do you think Robbo? As it stands where do you think we'll be by the end of the Easter programme?
IMO:
Leeds L
Hudds L
Crusaders W
Wigan L
Wakefield W
Harlequins W
Cas Draw
Bulls L
Catalans W
Rovers L
Warrington L
That would be 4 from 12 and the tipping point for most IMO.

Ideally it would happen like that but I'd still rather go with Noble coaching Agar/Rule's signings next year than letting Agar stay unless we undergo a radical transformation in the ten games.

I think your being generous
Even with those 4 wins it would be time to call it a day IMO the chances of making the playoffs after a start like that would be slim to none which would be a massive failure on Agars part and would warrant a change in coaching regime. No excuses are going to cut it anymore as even the most ardant Hull fan is losing patience so surely the board would have to make a change after a start like that.

Me neither tbh, but didn't want to be accused of leading the witness.

| I hear what a lot on here are saying and don't like all this Agar out stuff but enough has to be enough. Other clubs have improved but from what I have seen so far this season we havn't. I agree that Agar doesn't miss tackles, or drop balls but he does organise our left sided defence and he does decide our tactics and pick the team AND the bench, for me as I said on another thread after that performance the clock has to be ticking on Mr. A.
