| Quote: WIZEB "After a good start I thought we were gonna get another mullering when Westerman strolled in for their second after Sika's binning.
Here we go again!!!
Got the penalty close to their line and wasn't happy about us taking the two, was thinking, we'll need more than a bloody four point lead against these lot in the second half.
Fine lines, we get away with one straight after the break and never look back keeping them scoreless whilst taking our chances.
Sneyd's 40-20 ability is invaluable.
Great strength and determination from Mahe and Albert for their tries.
Fash, Turgut and Downs all getting game time.
Manchester under the bright lights again.
We couldn't, could we?'"
Taking the 2 was a no brainer. Those points are a gift for snyed. I thought game would be alot closer and they would be invaluable but end of the day it gave us a breather as I think we had been defending abit at the time irc. Ball back keeps them starved of possession and we go again. Leeds were masters of this with sinfield were in 10 mins you could go from being in a tight game to couple of trys behind and just unable to get your hands on the ball. Our game management is another level to 2/3 seasons ago

In hindsight, yep.
All turned out spiffing anyway.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| That was brilliant
Feel sorry for Jack Hughes, getting an absolute bell ringer off the leagues scrawniest half back must be embarrassing.
Thought our discipline around the ruck was better than it has been, and wasn't happy about Sika going off but see why now I've watched it back. Think the booing was more at Atkins absolutely milking it. There was a spell late on where we got scrappy again and we were punished for it but absorbed everything they threw at us.
As for Wire, I'd be worried if I was one of their fans. Agar's Plan B 5 drive rugby, baffling and unbalanced interchanges, and players going completely missing. Did Westerman go off injured after his try? And I didn't realise Ashton Sims was playing until about the 70th.

Congratulations Mosher lad !!
Not normally superstitious, but think we should
swap seats at the Grand Final pal.

| Mahe Fonua last night:
1 try, 1 try assist, 2 clean breaks, 5 tackle busts, 23 carries, 253 metres, average gain 11 metres.
Not a bad night at the office.

| Turned up last night fully expecting a defeat and although Warrington have not been playing well we were on a short turnround after playing wonder team Cas with 12 men and I thought we would fade in 2nd half with what seemed to be the weakest bench we have put out for a long time. How wrong I was. That was a brilliant performance by every player. The youngsters fitted in really well. Have watched them in the HULL academy and Under 23's and have been impressed but they often dont progress. This batch seem to be different particularly Fash & Turgut who were all over the pitch. Cannot usually cope with Child (& Hick) but he did not do bad and although the usual cock-ups was same to both sides. Only complaint Brown should have at least got 10 mins for lifting especially when Manu was binned which was warranted. Be interesting to see what our wonderful disciplinary mob make of it if anything.

Make that the last 3 games - 216m against Leigh. Agree that he's better on the wing but mostly from a defensive point of view where both he and the team look better for it.

child was less pedantic than usual but completely failed to police the 10m at the PTB meaning wire were on us before we'd even played the ball for 1/2 the game.
'"
Noticed in the Hudds/leeds game, Huddersfield players ever so slightly delayed 'heeling' the ball after placing it on the ground and were deliberate in putting their foot on the ball, this caught leeds out twice as players were encroaching and the split second delay on putting foot on ball made it far more obvious for the ref to see (players offside).
TBH I thought Child deliberately ignored a really obvious forward opass in that first half by them, he was in line and it was as plain as the nose on your face, not even close to being a 'flat' pass.
Whilst we all want a flowing game I don't want that to be at the cost of ignoring infractions by players, stick to the rules and make the players modify their behaviour (& that of the coaches too), if players know they will get pinged more frequently they are less likely to try to get away with infringing.
However the ridiculous over-reaction to the non sending off of Westwood (after his swinging high tackle) has meant incidents were contact was made but not fault of tackler have being dealt with in a totally different manner and IMHO outside the realms of fairness.
officiating has gone backwards under Ganson

Most metres by an individual, 1682m, averaging 8.58 but misses more than a 1/4 of his tackles and leading the rankings in errors of any player, but would you want to replace him!

if you look at our stats, worst ones are way too many missed tackles, errors aren't too clever either and we've had 7 yellows and 1 red... ouch!
