Celtic, Salford maybe, nobody else.

I agree. Always in and around the squad with both Kear and McRea and a few teams would be interested in a fairly cheap English player with Hornes versatility IMO.

Martin, Atkins, Snitch, Wilkes, Sykes, Nero, Burgess, Menzies, Morrison, Solomona, Langley, all better, and Grix, Gleeson, Ferguson, Cook, all at least as good prospects IMO. So I fail to see why either of the last 2 would be interested.

That's why I had the question mark after Bradford. Although you'd think not, McBanana has made stranger recruitment choices.

| Quote: ComeOnYouUll "Martin is possibly off to Cas so Wakey may need a replacement and as has been pointed out Kear is a fan of GH.
With Bradford anything is possible given some of their recruitment options over the last couple of years.'"
TBF to McNamara though, one area he does have good record of recruiting players is in the back row. Somebody mentioned Finnigan as a poor choice, but he'd had a couple of very good years at Salford prior to signing and was even being touted for GB train-on squads at the time IIRC. And in the centres they have a current England international and last year's POTY.
The only thing with Wakefield is the Kear connection. Would he honestly rate him so highly to want him as a first teamer? If he does he's a fool. And in terms of back-up players, they have their own developing in the same positions who are likely to be cheaper.

I think you would be surprised at how much Horne is respected in the game. granted he is no superstar who teams would try and sign at any price but if he becomes a free agent I am fairly sure he will get another super league contract.

| Graeme Horne should be played as a backrower, it's his best position and he would certainly do better than Radford. He has decent enough pace, a good step and good hands.

He will also be considerably cheaper than Radford, surely?

| Whatever peoples views are, I don't think he deserves a thread containing the title this one has.

Don't say that mate, you'll have the pitchfork mob queuing outside your door! Every season there has to be a witchhunt, and Tommy's had HIS turn. Who'll be next season? Early signs are that it could be Rich Horne, Berro or Yeaman.
