Quote knockersbumpMKII="knockersbumpMKII"I was thinking of buying a pass (first time since I left Hull 20+years ago) and making as many trips up as possible as I usually do but giving my mum the pass so she could go whenever I couldn't make it.
However it seems to me we have an owner whom is out of touch with what kind of progression ANY club can make in a short period of time. That he sees fit to get rid of the coach after what is in effect only 1 full proper season (1st year learning curve, working with the inherited crap etc) and yet disrupted with injuries yet again in the halves improves on last year getting us to a final and overall has improved in the league relative to the top teams.
This is so incredibly narrow minded and if Pearson is going to react like this every time we don't win something or get embaressed on the field now and again then we are completely and utterly fooked for the forseeable future. in fact I'd say we are more likely to go backward despite the (hopefully) increased talent coming through from below due to the investments made.
That Pearson cannot see that these things will take at least 3-4 years to bear any semblence of fruition is just incredible.
Radford is not the man to take us forward in my humble opinion but I'll continue to come to as many games as I can but Pearson's decision/s have left me now not wanting to buy a pass.'"
Don't know where to start with all this,
We've not improved in the league. We've been worse than last yr. Consistency wise also worse, which was something that had been mentioned but never happened. Only consistency was to not turn up against the 'lower' teams.
Did well to reach the final n the semi was a tremendous performance, but yet in the final managed somehow not to turn up!! Then follow that up few weeks later by being dire n not turn up for the right to a home playoff game. Pure luck we got one. Then break our own playoff record defeat!
Pearson has said many times how long he expects it to take. He knows full well.
More things to take into account. We were winning games playing to a structure, gentle changed it n we went on a losing run. He then all but admitted he'd got it wrong n went back to the old structure for the semi game. Don't worry if you can't fathom that, some of the players couldn't. We had set n restrictive structures that made little sense, silly things like ogre wasn't allow past the right post. Few things players couldn't get heads round. Our attack proves whatever we were attempting to do didn't work.
You say Radford isn't the man, if gentle had had his way we'd have signed another wing n lineham wouldn't have had a look in hardly, Radford fought for him. Gentle was gonna sell shaul to wakey at one point, again Radford fought for him.
Gentle did some good stuff no doubt but he'd gone as far as he was gonna I think. Obviously so did Pearson. I knew of Radfords impending appointment for definite by the beginning of September, n had heard of it before even Wembley so certainly not a knee jerk!! Alarm bells been ringing a while!
