mckinnon showed us the value of a good specialist full back. No co-incidence that our downturn in form has been at the same time that mckinnon was obviously unhappy and subsequently left. No doubt russell will develop into a good SL standard player but he isn't a very good FB currently. Let him go back and start missing high kicks at wigan and see how long he lasts in their 1st team

Agree about McKinnon. I'm not enamoured with the idea of Horne there as 1st choice next year. We've had utility players there since Briscoe went - Tony, Byrne, Hall, Whiting, Horne etc, and the difference McKinnon brought was obvious.

Agree 100% about Mckinnon and all those moaners who slagged him off should now realise how very very good he was.

McKinnon has been a massive loss for us, his offense was great and he was top drawer under the high ball, made a couple of dodgy decisions but what top drawer player doesn't!

No doubt we miss Wade, he's a class act. Horne to FB Whiting/Westy 6.

Yep we really miss wade no doubt but i would rather have whiting at 6.

Given him some stick the last few weeks, but sounded like he was much improved today - catching some tough bombs in difficult conditions. Fair play.

How much longer have we got him ?

Until Wigan want him back really. Which could be soon with Tommy L missing now. Think he's 2 games in to his extra month.
