Agree 100%, why someone earning in the region of £60k a year (maybe more) felt the need to defarud £30k is beyond me, bearing in mind he may have defrauded £30k but he'll also have incurred some costs it looks like he really is an idiot.

| Quote: Amadeo Avogadro "I have a similar aversion, but I really don't think that is the case here. The terms of a suspended sentence are very clear - reoffend and you go to prison. It doesn't matter what the nature of the offence is. What matters is that he was convicted of a very serious offence and, had he been anyone other than a professional sportsman, would probably have been sent down there and then. Instead of thinking how fortunate he was at that stage and going all out to keep his nose clean, he decides to defraud the public of thousands of pounds.
To my mind, anyone who has been given a second chance and can't even behave like a reasonable human being for the term of their suspended sentence [ideserves[/i to be imprisoned.'"

Precisely, that is the rub for me. Having had a narrow escape from a custodial sentence for aggravated assault, to then get his hands dirty (so to speak) with this latest crime shows gross stupidity on Raynor's part.

It says everything about the state of our society as he should have been sat in a cell rather than scamming people

Are these judges not paid to enforce under the british legal system?

Er yes and I believe I covered that in a previous post.
If its too difficult I will state it again. The cases for Cockayne, and Cooke as well are TOTALLY different to the case that Raynor is up for. Different offences different courts etc etc. To start saying that just because A didn't get sent to prison for offence B so therefore C should be given a lighter sentence for D is simply not a arguement.
In British justice each case is heard on its own individual merits. Just because as RL fans we have had a interest in other cases brought against RL players does not mean that they will be brought up or compared in a subsequent case brought against another player.
That may well be too difficult for you to understand but its just the way the law works in the UK. The UK that has a legal system that whilst not perfect is still a better system than what is available in most countries on this great planet of ours.

| Sensible post there.
In this particular case suggest it is far too expensive to put him in gaol.
All the people that he sold ink cartridges to should be compensated .
Big fine to help pay off the governments debts and if he cant pay take his house off him and sell it.
Tag him so he cant go out on a night.
Punishment enough
