| i had a coversation with my former boss when annouced his signing he said he was poo and i pointed out his marker defence, cover defence, kick chase and scoring ability when used correctly. to this he replied 'he doesn't work hard enough, hes never interested' again i pointed out his workrate and said his always in field covering and that he takes his fair share of carries against the forwards, although its far from his strong points. to that i got 'well thats his problem, he should stay out on the wing'
i then resigned and moved to australia.

Its not that long ago there were a few on this board having a go at Colderwood for flicking back a high kick, yet when he does it and we subsequently score (our second try on Friday), no one seems to be overtly concerned.

Same reason they got rid of Colburn and Dobson?

| Can't be bothered to go through all this thread but I'm guessing it's full of pretty much the same drivel as I heard in the south stand on Friday night. As with any winger, he will only thrive with service, and at the moment he's getting pretty much none. Colin Best is probably the last right winger most Hull fans tend to agree on, but is it pure coincidence that that was the last Hull team that had both a first class right centre and an attack with a quality halfback on both sides of the pitch?
He should never have been at dummy half in the late stages though.

Not at the price he wanted, no.

Bitter about what? I mean, it's not like we just lost a game against the worst side in the league or something.

Spot on with the first paragraph.
partly agree with the 2nd, think he simply wanted to try and inject some speed into our plays as Berrigan looked shattered and most of our players were out on their feet.

Oh I understand why he wanted to be there. IMO it showed the enthusiasm and desire to help/impress that so many are ridiculously saying is absent. He just shouldn't have been there because he doesn't have the game to deliver from there, it should have been one of our playmakers. Unfortunately, they were decidedly absent, as they had been all game (R Horne apart).

As ive said elsewhere, it doesnt help when Thorman has to make most of our tackles as Manu is woeful in defence. I bet Manu missed over 10 tackles on Friday and left Thorman 1 on 1 defensively.

Fool
Try reading the post.
Player leave clubs for a whole host of reasons,
Clash of personalities (Calderwood / Noble)
Unrealistic wage demands (Dobson / Wigan board) Until someone was stupid enough to bow down to them
Just being substandard - Colburn
As a matter of interest, what have I got to be bitter about? Quite frankly, I am delighted I am not a hkr fan. I would hate to be labelled as an intimidating thug, as has been reported in the RL press

I didn't think he was that bad TBH, certainly nowhere near 10. A big bloke playing as many minutes as he currently is is bound to miss a few though as they get tired, another sign to me that we have been asking too much of certain forwards and simply getting away with it so far. IMO Manu got through the most work with ball in hand out of our entire pack, there always has to be a trade off when it's like that.
Speaking of Thorman, I thought he was monumentally shyt on Friday, first 5 minutes apart.

Would love to see it again, guess i'll have to wait for the stats to come out!! Manu needs to stop grabbing and put his shoulder in for me.
Dont think Thorman was that bad to be honest, no worse than anyone else anyway.
