| Quote: The Dentist Wilf "Its great to see weekend fixtures again on Saturdays in particular, but you have to wonder with all the games being televised this year how that will work and when and how will they be spread over each weekend perhaps eventually we will see a true fixture list with adjustments for that fact.'"
Still haven't seen any confirmation that SKY will show more than 2 games a week on TV, the rest may be red button and streaming. They may want some Saturday afternoon content as Football has a 3pm Saturday blackout.

| Quote: Chris71 "I agree, you'd think they'd have all clubs playing each other home and away and then play the loop fixtures. The lopsided and stacked fixtures the RFL throw out probably doesn't help the game as a whole either.
We see it so many times that the fixtures always have clubs playing the same teams in quick succession whilst having huge gaps with other teams.
Even with the loop fixtures and other considerations/complications its certainly possible to have the fixtures for the 12 clubs to play each other more evenly spread.
Knowing the RFL they are using spreadsheets to work the fixtures lists or a ZX Spectrum'"
I would say its more like IMGs think tank working its magic once again

| Hull KR supporters "fume" at number of Thursday night TV games. I guess that's the price of success.

| The six again is a mockery but at least teams are going to be punished for abusing it.
Rules changes:
"Rugby League Live can reveal that from next season, a team will concede a regulatory penalty, rather than a six again, for any offence that takes place in the opposition's own 40-metre area. As an example, if a defender is too slow at releasing a player when the attacking team is within 40 metres of their own try line, a penalty shall be called, rather than a six again, as has been the case in recent years. Set restarts will be given in the remaining area of the field.
The change has been made to stop teams from purposely holding down at the start of a tackle count, which allows the defensive line to take shape at the expense of having to make one extra tackle. It is a rule change that will likely be well received by supporters, who have regularly voiced their annoyance when the tactic has been used by teams.
But it is one of several changes that have been made, all with a focus on cleaning up the ruck from next season. Moving forward, there will be a clampdown on incorrect play the balls with players now being warned that they must make a genuine attempt to touch the ball with their foot.
From next year, players must regain their feet and have no other body part in contact with the ground. It is the ball carrier's responsibility to not place the ball on the defender and make a genuine attempt to contact the ball on their foot".

| It would appear that the televising of all fixtures next season will see two games featured on Sky and the other four on a rfl subscription platform rather like what happened in the past on Our League and it would be nice to think that a portion of the income from that would go to the relevant participating clubs, however I guess thats unlikely. The game appears to be in a bit of a mess at present with the Salford news yesterday and this morning a Club Chairman coming out and openly criticising the Board of the RFL in the media and IMG who he says have graded his club without even visiting it.

To be fair, for objective assessments based on data, why would IMG need to visit any club?
It’s not like last time with the independent assessments when somebody presumably mooched around Odsal, had lunch, decided SL needs Bradford… “B?”
This has got to be better than a system influenced by whether a Club Chairman and assessor have a shared interest in philately or fondness for pickled eggs or go back years and years.
(To be fair, even if the criteria raised a few suspicions last time, the assessments themselves didn’t cause it to fail).

Another thing from nrl
Captains challenge is nonsense aswell makes the game to stop start from random guesses hoping to win the challenge
It's rugby league not tennis

| It looks to me that the RFL haven't bothered to stagger the games kick off times throughout the weekend , Seems a bit stupid as many fans would probably watch one game after another increasing viewers and possible income rather than fans just picking one game out of three 8 o'clock kick offs .
