| Didn't get alot from the ref, not one set restart or penalty when in possession the 2nd half.

Hats off to him, a brilliant move in a debut 40 minutes. What a performance from Hull, assured, confident, committed and effective against a determined second half showing from Wigan. Clifford was massive, his best performance in a Hull shirt.
As an aside, on and off the pitch Litten is looking like a star in the making. Media savvy and comfortable. Is there already an argument to say that when Hoy comes back, he should play wing/centre as it's difficult to move Litten from full back?'"
My opinion would be Hoy comes back in at full back and Litten on to the wing.
100% should keep his place in the team, but Hoy is our 1 and at least in the first 2 games of the season looked a lot more threatening with ball in hand and more likely to provide assists. Especially if our pack can get back to being on top.
Litten will get his time again in the future. But what a prospect this kid is.

Hard to argue with much of your post. Was a deserved win that was earned by effort & hard work as a team. Some very good performances by some individuals and some not so brilliant too.
Good to see us finally playing & kicking smarter and getting some repeat sets off the back of that.
Think the changes at half time bringing Trueman & Dwyer on seemed to unsettle us a little and take us time to get reorganised.
Think the FB position is Littens to lose, on current form Hoy has to bide his time to get back at in at 1. Though that’s fir Smith to manage in terms of what’s best for the team and a young player.
Really struggle to understand what we do so differently to the opposing teams when it comes to 6 agains

Agreed, also strengthens the wing spot, Scott isn't a winger and Mcintosh terrifies me there under the high ball. Litten and Swift
on the wing.

| Congratulations - a really gritty defensive performance (exactly what Hull needed). Danny Houghton with a huge play to stop French towards the end. Litten, Clifford and Satae very good. Smart from Trueman. A little frustrated at our blunt attack but sure we'll be fine when some playmakers return.

Really struggled with metres 2nd half, showed our lack of power on the wings and also the pack. Gave Wigan the front foot, so kicks alot harder to take, compared to French who never had any pressure on kicks. We scrambled superbly, game should have been over if Mcintosh could have taken that kick.

A shame Mcintosh is so bad under a high ball as I thought he worked really hard tonight at running the ball in and came up with some good carries.
Definitely hard done to on one of his 'errors' in the 2nd half. 100% came off Miski's hands and then hit Mcintosh in the face. He didn't even get a hand on it and Thaler awarded Scrum to Wigan.

Absolutely spot on that and Houghton's trip tackle as they broke after we fluffed that chance won us the game all we want to see is effort and passion and we showed loads of it Houghton was massive again for me.

Yeah agreed made some good yards, need to see the missed try again, thought he should have attacked the ball and scored, seemed to wait for it too long and the bounce got away from him. Not his worse game, but not sure he is the long term solution on the wing.

Agreed, as watched the game as currently in Florida and it the one Thaler gave as a McIntosh knock on was definitely a knock on by Miski as he got his hands to it and tipped it into McIntosh’s head.
He just looks so uncomfortable and low on confidence under any ball.
Unfortunately despite his hard work tonight he’s still for me a weak link in the team due to the issues when the ball is put in the air.

Agree on Houghton. I can fully understand why Clifford took the glory, he came up with the big plays to get us the most points on the night, but Houghton rolled back the years out there tonight. He looked fresh and not haggard and hopefully that's a good sign for the rest of the season.

| What a difference a few weeks makes, fantastic effort, a few things I could nitpick about but I wont, with that level of determination we will win more than we lose

| Great win. Defence outstanding. Trueman tackle won us the match as if he had allowed a quick play the ball Wigan had a huge overlap. Clever play. Well done lads
