| Quote: R.B.A "Given some of Hulls results over the past 12 months it's fairly obvious that Radfords position will be under scrutiny. Same with Sheen's across the river.
Worth noting though that on the Forty 20 live podcast last night, a journalist claimed/stated that a big off field story is about to break at Hull FC that will be having a destabilising effect.
In short, we don't always know the circumstances that a coach is working under. Best to maybe cut a bit of slack until the news emerges.'"
Seemed to me he was alluding to financial issues.

Now that Crossland has gone, leaving Pearson and Hudgell in sole charge of our respective clubs it is going to be very interesting to see how closely aligned they make us.
My prediction is that inside 12 months both Clubs, along with COHA will be sharing a training base. From there, who knows..

Wash your mouth out son, don’t even go there. There’s only one place a merger would go, straight down the Humber via a pan.

| Do we have financial issues? Someone mentioned pearson had said he was looking for investment in the club and he's not been heard of in the media for some time now. Wouldn't surprise me TBH. We've been cutting pretty much every budget at the club for some years now

| The Round Eight Super League games generated an aggregate crowd of 49,992 and an average attendance of 8,332. Last season the Round Eight aggregate was 59,137 with an average of 9,856. That's a drop of 17% with over 1,500 missing supporters at each game. #NewBeginnings
Smaller gates = smaller income. I’m beginning to wonder what our finances are like? Me thinks AP is short on disposable income.

Smaller gates
Last year's round 8 was the derbies, not a fair comparison.
You can't compare round for round, too many variables.

Here it is Jake, it’s a small paragraph from AP, you can read the full account in the chairman’s notes. Apologies if I’m contravening any forum rules, it’s meant only as reference.
“
There is no one presently interested in personally investing to get on the Board of Hull FC. Other clubs such as Warrington and Saints attract investment at Board level, but here at Hull that investment in club shares is very hard to find.”

That does sound a lot like I am sick of bankrolling the club, which explains our recruitment and retention and keeping a cheap coach on.

What is Radford's salary and how does it compare to the other eleven Super League head coaches?

Why don't they let supporters buy shares in the club like they used to.

I think they generally want ongoing ‘investment’.
If it is a nominal amount from fans it doesn’t make much difference. If it were more significant amounts, by normal income standards, then people might start to feel that they should have a say in how things are run. Managing a small number of relationships that each yield a large injection of capital is easier than managing a larger number than each provide less. That said, if the first isn’t an option looking to work with a supporters organisation could be a good idea - better than hundreds or thousands of individual small shareholders, imo.
