| Agree with Seb, looked great first 10, but shouldn't have gone for the goal, luckily we defended well at 12-4 when we on the rack.
Overall thought we defended pretty well and once we held the ball, looked good with the ball, particularly with Abdul at 13. Can't remember a break from Hudds all game.
Got to happy with that particularly when we apparently had our eye on the Aussie trip and we don't develop young players despite having 4 on the bench.

| Thought Bowden was excellent and Hadley and Abdull definitely benefiting from regular rugby during their loans

Agreed with all that, great decision from Radders to get them some game time, Radford is doing a great job handling the young players.

| Game wasnt a classic but was it ever going to be in freezing weather. Good to get the win despite a poor first half, second half display was very promising.

| Our defence to hold them out in back to back sets at 4-12 probably won it for us IMO. Thought sneyd bossed it and the 3/4's all showed up well. Abdul showed some neat touches but butchered a walk in for kelly when he didn't pass. None of the younger players let us down and a good pass off turgut for connor to score

| Quote: Sebasteeno "Not a bad performance tonight. Thought we looked in control but went too safe going for goal twice. Then a few daft decisions, some poor defense and were 12-4 down!
Though Abdull changed the game as we became a lot more direct and threatening with him in the middle. Masi showed up well allowing the other forwards a bit of a rest. Houghton magnificent changing the play the ball direction all the time and going down the short side a lot'"
Masi seems to improve every game and thats what you want to see from your young players.Big future for this lad.
Turgut i dont know what to make of him.People say he tries too hard but not a believer in that although like the others you cant criticise his work rate.
Danny Houghton has obviously been practicing his passing as it was really sharp tonight and with more distance.
Heard on the grapevine Turgut was on his way to HKR on a season loan.Dont know what changed but i think a season away under a coach like Sheens would really help him.
Certainly Jordan Abdull has returned a better fitter player.
Overall a decent performance and an important two points.

Last match was a draw at Wakey 20-20 and the Faithful were the quietest I've ever heard at Wakey

Will we be quiet in The Gong'"
My last league game was also about 4 years ago. Leeds away and we lost. Was in Hull for about a week and also saw 2 matches there- City beaten by Everton and Rovers won against London Broncos?

| Very good second half and a dominant display. The first forty was patchy to say the least but last night was pretty much all we could ask for. Two points on the board and a clean bill of health.
Everyone played their part, a shame that Faraimo couldn't get a debut try but his time will come.

| Thought Abdull was outstanding 2nd half certainly put a marker down for a place in the 17, for me if all fit Carlos would be in for Griffin, Watts for Hadley bench Bowden, Hadley, Abdull, Masi or Green all Hull born bench. Still can't make my mind up on Turgut.

Agree with most of that but would have Watts in for Paea and use Micky of the bench so we always have an experienced front rower on the pitch when interchanges kick in. Griffin has shown at the back end of last season and the beginning of this that he has plenty to offer but I’m with you Carlos has a bit more. Turgut I’m with you again, he’s a little headstrong/rash imo. The penalty he gave away under our sticks when we’d just won back possession was pure stupidity.

| All in all a good win in the end. A patchy first half as you'd expect as first real game with the full squad, but 2nd half they showed just what they can do.
For me we let Huddersfield off the hook in the first half by taking the 2 pts twice when the pressure was on them which was then compounded by Shauls brainfart to try and go on the outside where there was nowhere to go. Then another brainfart by Connor led to their second. To keep them scoreless from that point on was pleasing.
Thought the introduction of Abdul also made a big difference and we looked a much quicker and more fluid unit when on the attack last night.
Very positive start for me.

| Abdull was great, seeing real benefits from his loan move as with Hadley too. Turgot, on the other hand, really don't rate him personally, tries hard but is too much of a liability. the penalty he gave away under out own sticks is a prime example. Good job the game was won by then.
