So, both coaches shocked yeh. Cooke not shocked but says it happens from time to time. Yeh, your right, nothing to do with coaching

This. All he's tried to do in the article is point out what was likely to have occurred in the meeting and state that, whilst not common, these meetings shouldn't be considered shocking.
As someone that was shocked by it I have to admit that it was more the timing of the meeting and the fact that they specifically asked the coaching staff to leave/kicked them out that provided the shock factor for me. Had the meeting taken place the day after at training I'm not sure I'd have found it shocking at all.

| So we now look like the team of old despite our new signings and this being Radford's team, based on the team's performances barring the opening 2 rounds.
Does anyone still think he has the ability to pull this one round and still come good as a coach?
Despite being behind him initially upon his appointment I've not hid my disappointment since.
I believe Lee is passionate about Hull but believe the learning curve has been too soon too steep for him.
In regards to his contract I wonder what Pearson is thinking.
Keep going in the same hope it all comes good and offer him a new contract or dispense with his services but when?
I think if we carry on like this further untold damage to the fan base and cub will ensue which worries me.

I think the penny will have dropped for AP that barring an instant return to the form of the first couple of games the season looks like Groundhog Day. The bigger context is what his plans are in terms of ambition and ownership. Almost 5 years into his tenure and the club hasn't really kicked on, and bad decisions/advice have cost him big time. If he were looking to cut his losses (which wouldn't surprise me, although I can't imagine there's a queue of people wanting to take over) maybe he'll offer Radford a short deal. If he's genuinely ambitious he'll seek to trade up in the coaching post. If he wants to minimise his losses maybe he'll keep Radford and scale down the squad. My opinion is that he won't do something ambitious.

| Wasn't we supposed to be looking at Tony Smith?
Not sure what his contract situation is mind.
There again, his stock will be rising again now.

Several mentions on social media from people "in the know". Makes sense with him having worked with Peacock before, and would be more like the "top line" coach promised by Hudgell than McNamara IMO.

| Smith? He'd have to be either insane or a fool. Evidence of either is lacking IMO.

Agar's part of their succession plan though, has to happen sooner or later.

Wonder if the fickle cas fans are running around town with pitch forks like some of ours do day after defeat? Not many on here chanting for Powell in today.

To be fair, he's got some goodwill in the bank. His club has had fewer resources than ours, constantly lost good players and still turned in better rugby.

I believe it's because him & Orr was pivotal players & have a good balance of them positions in his squad, I want us to have an assistant with that experience.
